BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2021 Posted May 15, 2021 Mets have Kevin Pillar leading off today vs the Rays. Tells you all you need to know about the Mets this season. Lindor with 2 more Ks so far today.

Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2021 Posted May 15, 2021 (edited) Rays tied that up quickly, Sean Reid-Foley sighting. He's been really good out of the pen early on this season. No walks??? LOL @ that first pitch! He sure doesn't look good. Getting hit hard SRF Suxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Edited May 15, 2021 by Spanky99

BTS Community Moderator Posted May 15, 2021 Posted May 15, 2021 That contract was absurd from the moment it was signed, but I didn't expect Lindor to be an albatross this season.

Lots of ball left, he's not this guy, no way. He looks lost right now, but I fully expect him to get better. Right? That contract is absurd.
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2021 Posted May 15, 2021 WTF??? Wendle's brothers used to put shock collars around his neck? WAT??? lol... that's f***ed up.

Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2021 Posted May 15, 2021 Family, man It sounded like they used it for ball practice/training and Wendle credited it for discipline or something of that nature, that's abuse, man. I'm just paraphrasing what the reporter said, there's a Special on Bally Sports Tampa with Wendle featured after the game. I wish I could watch it...
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2021 Posted May 15, 2021 Speaking of Wendle... have a game, man.

bendera3 Verified Member Posted May 15, 2021 Posted May 15, 2021 The Dodgers are like the one team that can waste a roster space and still win a World Series. I get it for them.
Laika Community Moderator Posted May 15, 2021 Posted May 15, 2021 Pujols to the Dodgers. Is this a non baseball move? Pure marketing. 500k to be forever linked to a legend. All it takes is like one big home run in the uniform. I dunno On the purely baseball side it's hard to see the why
Maahfaace Verified Member Posted May 15, 2021 Posted May 15, 2021 I just lost some respect for the Dodgers front office.

TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2021 Posted May 15, 2021 Makes sense for both sides. Guy already said he's okay joining a team as a part-timer in a "mentorship" role so he's probably not gonna make a stink if they barely play him. At the same time, the Dodgers link themselves to a legend and they gain a bunch of marketing power. Pujols gets his best chance at a ring on a team that can easily afford to sacrifice a roster spot.

So what was wrong with him on a "mentorship" role with the Angels? He made a stink and was DFA'd. Guy's a dick, that's a big f*** you signing to the Angels as well. I agree with your points, the MLB Tonight panel were perplexed, but see him as a 1B against LHP and a bench bat. Makes sense, but he suxxxxxxxxxxx
