Its a reflection of how incompetent the general person is. We assume that people are good at their jobs, because there is an aura of the unknown on what that job is. Most of the public is incredibly incompetent, and without a system, they wouldn't be able to do most basic jobs.

Yeah I was expecting JD Martinez to opt out and then get extended to an absurd deal, but I guess that won't happen now. Betts wants to get paid, so he'll likely bet on himself and hit free agency. I could see the Sox moving him (Braves?). With Boston having no farm system, bloated contracts, and their best player possibly leaving in a year, the Jays need to get to winning soon.
