I don't really remember what Jim Fregosi looked like, or who managed the team before him.

 

I was going to say Buck Martinez but somehow he's only been a relatively good looking guy since he got old.

 

EDIT: Also, I saw John Farrell get some 25 year old tail at the winter meetings like 8 years ago. She was a dime. I guess that doesn't mean he's good looking though.

How would this be a win?? Are you assuming that we wouldn't have to pay them their guaranteed player contracts of ~20 million a year??

 

If so, of course it would be a win. However that is not the case. There is no way to get out of their player contracts. So if you made them managers, you would still be paying the 70 million owed to them, + you would have inexperienced managers.

 

There is really no advantage to this scheme, over just releasing them. If you are going to look for a recently retired player to be manager, Tulo and Martin wouldn't have an advantage over the 100 other guys in that situation, and you'd be better off just finding the best recently retired player.

Some of these are pretty funny. For example, you should come to Toronto because the people are nice.

 

You should not go to Minnesota because well...the people are nice.
