Players of the day: Alberto Mineo, Jon Harris, Rowdy Tellez, Roemon Fields, Jason Leblebijian, Reese McGuire

Honourable Mentions: Erickvi Celedonio, Kevin Vicuna, Ryan Noda, Miguel Hiraldo, Brandon Grudzielanek, Kevin Smith, Patrick Murphy, Dwight Smith Jr

Ryan Noda has remembered how to swing a bat! June slash line .429/.486/1.000/1.486, and has an 11 game hit streak dating back to late May with 6 HR, 9 K and 7 BB

Fisher Cats with a 1 hit shutout. We got the good Jon Harris tonight. f*** that guy has been so inconsistent and disappointing. Put it together man.

Hiraldo continues to hit as advertised.

There's a good Jon Harris?

Lol Danny Jansen got HBP by the same pitcher twice. I was wondering how it was possible that he only had 1 BB and 0 ABs.

Based on the stat line it looks like Patrick Murphy had a bit of an adventure yesterday on the mound. 7 IP, 10 hits, 7 K's, 1 BB's but only 1 run allowed.

Been saying it for months. Kevin Smith > Logan Warmoth.

Yeah this is beyond obvious now that Smith is producing so well in the FSL.

He's probably a safe 45 FV now, and clearly in the top 5 or so Blue Jays prospects. Meteoric season. I guess that's what happens when the guy can play SS and has power and the only concern was 'can he hit' and that question gets clearly answered 'yes!'.

It's looked that way so far.

I'll pretend we drafted Kevin Smith in the 1st round and Logan Warmoth in the 4th, so I can feel better about our 2017 draft.

When do you think he'd be due for a promotion?

IMO he will be promoted once Bichette moves up to AAA, which could come once Vlad returns in a few weeks.

You're assuming Vladdy returns. My source tells me he's getting his leg amputated.

Olerud? haha

He just got promoted to the FSL so probably not for a while.

I'm guessing 150 PA at the earliest, if he's still red hot and there's a place for him to play at AA. One of Bichette or Biggio would have to have gone up by then

I think Kevin Smith will stay in Dunedin all year. From Lansing to New Hampshire is a massive jump within one season. Not even Vlad and Bo were promoted that aggressively, despite NH being a wasteland last year.

The farm infield depth chart is super deep with Vlad, Bichette, Gurriel jr, Biggio, Smith, Vicuna, Warmoth, Urena, Groshans, Taylor, Hiraldo, Clemens

Wouldn't it be more likely Biggio moves up before Bo?

Does Warmoth go to Lansing when he gets back?

That would be an embarrassment, no. And he's already back. There's room for both in Dunedin.

I could see that as well. I was mostly going off that the org wants Bo to remain at SS for now and Smith is a great defensive SS, so they likely wouldn't have either at 2B in AA.

This is why, I feel, this could happen.

Warmoth's numbers aren't good but his ratios/indicators aren't horrendous. It's not like he has busted already.

And year Dunedin has a few org guys getting time on the infield.

It would be. But he was struggling before he went down... And I see he returned tonight...0-for-3 with 3 Ks.

I did not at any time say that Vlad was getting his leg amputated. I said this is a serious injury that could effect his career substantially. It's a tendon injury which could someday need surgery. He is in the same place as Ohtani. Mike Scioscia, like you board members is very positive. https://www.cbssports.com/mlb/news/angels-manager-mike-scioscia-on-reiters-block-i-have-not-heard-tommy-john-surgery-is-a-possibility-for-shohei-ohtani/

However you board members were very sad when Ohtani got on the DL with ulnar colateral ligament problems. Because you have heard many stories like this, most of the time they go for the TJ.

Vlad is in a similar situation with his knee ligament. Except all you positive people don't really understand it. Neither do I, but I know that strained ligament, that will be "re-evaluated" isn't a good thing.

Health is an attribute, Brett Lawrie, Travis Snider, Travis D'arnaud, did not have that attribute, injuries weakened them and destroyed them. (Snider f'd his wrists, Lawrie a bizarre combination of injuries, and D'arnaud the same). There is now evidence Vlad Guerrero jr doesn't either. We will see.

Your expert medical opinion is worth about as much as Keith Law's prospect evaluations. No offense.
