    Great signing. I can't wait to watch Ryu and Pearson to anchor our rotation in years to come, with two contrasting styles, one triple-digits hard throwing, and the other soft tossing.

    Good deal for both parties. Yankees got one of the best pitchers who's just getting into his prime. Guess now all depend on Cole's health. If he can stay healthy for the next 5-6 years, and he brings with him whatever 'sauce' he was using with the Astros, he'll be worth every penny of his pay.

    I don't want to help the Yankees out unless we get rewarded handily. And Cashman is too smart a GM for Atkins to deal with so I feel a bit uncomfortable about the Happ rumor if true.

    That's some extreme sh**. I'm most impressed by the fact he did it on 15 pitches only! Which means of the 6 batters he faced, he walked 3 of them on 4 straight balls, and the other 3 batters got a hit on his very first pitch of the atBat.

    I waited til now to post my initial reaction to our 1st round pick, just not to piss on your enthusiam. 11th pick, college pitcher still gives me nightmare. (Deck McGuire anyone?)
