He's not wrong though. :)

he's actually wrong on at least 3 different counts, which is impressive

King would never troll these forums.

this is true

Yes, for a teenager he is pretty mature

All trolling aside, Reds would no doubt take Stroman and Giles for Trammell. It would be a Jays overpay, who else from the Reds would be a target to even it up? Bautista?

Yeah, I don't think so...

2. Taylor Trammell, LF Video

Drafted: 1st Round, 2016 from Mount Paran HS (GA) (CIN)

Age 21.2 Height 6′ 2″ Weight 195 Bat / Thr L / L FV 60

Tool Grades (Present/Future)

Hit Raw Power Game Power Run Fielding Throw

35/60 55/55 40/55 70/70 55/70 40/40

Trammell has uncommon on-field self-awareness for a two-sport high school athlete who was only 20 last year. He has excellent plate discipline and an all-fields, gap-to-gap approach that suits his plus-plus speed; everything he slices down the line or sprays into the gap goes for extra-bases.

Trammell also put on a shocking display of power during BP at the Futures Game and hit two absolute seeds during the game. He never did anything remotely like that in the Fall League (nor, frankly, did any of the other prospects who played in D.C. and then later in Arizona) and actually struggled to turn on balls there, but there’s a chance of huge, if dormant, in-game power here, too.

Though Trammell runs well enough to play center field (by a lot), his arm strength still might limit him to left field. That’s where we have him projected, where we think he’ll be a Carl Crawford or Brett Gardner type of defender. He projects as an excellent leadoff hitter with some pop, but there’s a chance he ends up hitting for more power at some point.

3. Taylor Trammell, OF

Age: 21

Highest Level: A+

.277/.375/.406, 8 HR, .128 ISO, 129 wRC+, 22.8% K%, 12.6% Bb%, 25 SB

One of the most exciting offensive prospects in the game, Trammell’s baseline of athleticism is unmatched in the system, and is amongst the elite in all of baseball. He combines plus plus running ability, a good understanding of the strike zone, and projectable power. There’s still improvements to be made at the plate, starting with getting to more of his raw power. But he should be able to achieve this by adding some loft to his relatively linear swing. The other nit I can pick with Trammell’s game is his tendency to lose focus, meaning he doesn’t always play the game with a sense of urgency. That’s not the case in the batter’s box, his pitch recognition is downright unnatural. This advanced approach from a player as young as Trammell (he played the entire season at 20), combined with his natural contact ability and elite speed, give him a very high floor offensively.

The knocks on Trammell, and ultimately the reason he ranks third and not second are rooted in his below grade fielding ability. Particularly when you consider that premium athletes with plus-plus speed tend to have the defensive nature of the game come very easily. That is not the case with Trammell however, his routes to the ball are consistently poor, often making up for his bad angles with his plus foot speed. His throwing arm is a hard 40, not ideal for center, and likely a non-starter for right.

Despite the issues in the field, Trammell remains one of my favorite prospects in the game, and the type of talent fans throughout the game will appreciate for years to come. Sweet dreams are made of elite athletes with on base ability and developing power. ETA: 2021

Lynn seems like he could implode any year now but he threw up 3 WAR last season. 3 years kind of sucks but a $10M AAV is solid.

He basically needs to pitch well enough to remain in the rotation as a mediocre #5 to make this contract worth it. Anything more than that is surplus.

His 1st and 2nd half splits were insanely drastic

For some reason I just don’t trust Lynn at all and would not want him on the books come 2021.

Reds get Tanner Roark for Tanner Rainey.

Bour signs with the Angels

Well I can't really think of a team that has been hurting more for dependable/consistent starter innings.

Just looking at his stats he seems pretty solid to me. Doesn't seem to get hurt outside of the TJS. Velocity is holding up well. AAV is so low he doesn't need to do much other than stay in the rotation. If he pitches like he did last year in 2019 he'll get close to fulfilling the contract already and everything else will be a surplus.

He does seem to fail the eye test though but I haven't seen him pitch much.

I have a deep distrust of fat dudes.

That's a good point. It just doesn't seem right to give someone 10 million dollars a year to perform athletic events when they're fat. Probably for the best that we passed.

Just to let everyone know why La Russa thought Baines should get into the HOF was because of his RBI totals and game winning RBIs. He would also like to get face to face in an argument with anyone to see their “weak-ass superfictial ********” hahah

I saw that. Tony LaRussa is awful.

I think we all know how that would turn out.

Craig Kimbrel is asking for a nine-figure contract.

Lol. How do players have such little awareness? I mean, if he was a little high, sure, but he's 30, coming off a decent but not earth shattering season and he's a reliever who throws a lot of sliders. I'd MAYBE go 3/45 with him but probably not. He's no where near worth 100 million.

Every year, it seems there's at least one deranged ******* that asks for the moon in free agency and gets hilariously knocked down from his pedestal. It appears that Kimbrel is likely to be that guy this season.

There's no way I'd go higher than about 3/50 for him, but I could see a team going as inexplicably high as 4/60-65 to outbid the others.

$100M+. Get the f*** outta here, Craig lol.
