They wanted him in a multi inning role. And with the injury to Knebel they may as well just use him to finish the last 2 innings of games. Hes a beast. Hes basically doing what Andrew Miller did in the playoffs a few years ago.

jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2018 Posted May 1, 2018 Another victim of an overworked Angels bullpen--Keynan Middleton to the DL (elbow inflammation), joining Blake Wood there. Eduardo Paredes back again.. at the rate the bullpen is getting used, the Angels pitching staff will be DOA by July...

jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2018 Posted May 2, 2018 Jordan Montgomery may have blown out his elbow. Left the Astros game after 7 pitches.
P2F Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2018 Author Posted May 2, 2018 Jesus, Harper already has 39 BB. Jesus, that's absurd.

Ray Verified Member Posted May 2, 2018 Posted May 2, 2018 DBacks have started the season a franchise best 21-8. And that's with Jake Lamb, Robbie Ray, Steven Souza Jr., Tijuan Walker and Shelby Miller all injured.

BTS Community Moderator Posted May 2, 2018 Posted May 2, 2018 What Justin Verlander is doing this year is amazing. It looked like his elite days were behind him in 2014-2015, but he's been a super-elite ace since being traded to Houston. He just looks completely dominant almost every time out.

The Astros' rotation is kind of ridiculous.

I'd call it suspicious. How is it that every Houston starter magically learns how to drastically improve their spin rates? One guy, ok fine, but their able to teach a bunch of different guys with different deliveries how to add spin without throwing off their mechanics in a matter of weeks/days? Something smells funny in Houston. I'm almost certain they are cheating.
