Governator Community Moderator Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 Looks like a Molson Canadian ad
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 Lets Rise for what? What a dumb slogan Lets Rise Compared that to the Raptors We The North, or Come Together. Lets Rise is dumb as f***, amateur f***ing hour.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 Did you guys know that the big maple leaf here symbolizes the fact that Toronto is in Canada? Personally, I think the subtlety of this message is superb. A lot of people don't know that Toronto is in Canada and the fact that it is totally matters.
Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 That maple leaf does have tremendous colouring to it, some very striking foliage.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 This looks like a hockey ad as the background looks like ice. The maple leaf is so overdone, not only is it huge but it appears again in the official logo. I know the dome is probably going to be closed for the first part of the season but they should be promoting summertime and getting outside. Instead we get a leave that looks like it belongs in the fall as well as the ice background.

Do you understand that a lot of people fall for this kind of marketing?
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 I had the same feeling, it looks very fall/winter rather than summer. Perhaps to symbolize a deep run in October... I hate marketing. Their target market is stupid people - thus most of us shouldn't be surprised when we are disappointed with what they come up with. Let's remember we're wearing red f***ing uniforms every Sunday for some awful reason.
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 Do you understand that a lot of people fall for this kind of marketing? I was going to say this. There are a good portion of the i am going to call it fair weather fans hat will puff their chest out and Yell " YA CANADAS TEAM!!!" Followed up by " ODOYAL RULES!" lol But i do think the Canadas team works on half the population... More or less not the big time baseball fans because lets face it they got that money already.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 Do you understand that a lot of people fall for this kind of marketing? Of course I do. When did I say they don't?
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 Finally a slogan that hints at our penis.
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 Finally a slogan that hints at our penis. I don't know i thought "Cum Together" handled that nicely.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 I don't know i thought "Cum Together" handled that nicely. I forgot the green font.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted March 14, 2017 Author Posted March 14, 2017 (edited) I had the same feeling, it looks very fall/winter rather than summer. Which made me think post season actually Edited March 14, 2017 by G-Snarls

Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted March 14, 2017 Posted March 14, 2017 Which made me think post season actually Would have been a better campaign for fall baseball without a doubt.

Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted March 14, 2017 Posted March 14, 2017 Do you understand that a lot of people fall for this kind of marketing? For the great majority of Blue Jays fans, the fact that they are Canada's team is the biggest draw. Being in Toronto isn't really a selling point outside of the city.
