Bolsinger was placed on waivers. Wow. Looks like they chose Tepera over him? I have no idea what this FO is doing with the final touches to the roster.

 

This move is idiotic, especially seeing as Tepera has an option left.

Bolsinger did not seem right this spring. He really doesn't have the stuff to pitch in relief... one of those weird guys who is perhaps more effective as a starter.

 

I don't know if it made sense to keep him around in the bullpen.

You could make the same argument for anything other than a World Champ banner.

 

Put up a WC banner, or at least something that acknowledges the ALCS appearance. Didn't feel like a participation award when the Blue Jays passed the actual East division winner in the playoffs.

Once a player is DFA'd the team has 10 days to trade, release, or waive/outright him (or, pull him back if claimed). I think they have to place the player on waivers within one week of the DFA, because the waivers process takes three business days.

 

So it depends if they've waived him yet... if it was yesterday that they did waive him, then it should process Wednesday.

I don't see him being claimed given his putrid stats last season and in the spring.

I'm probably too high on Bolsinger. Two front offices I respect have basically discarded him for nothing within the past 8 months. He might be cooked. The projections on fangraphs dot com do like him though. I wish we could find a way to put him down in Buffalo.
