jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2017 Posted June 24, 2017 Derek Norris DFA by the Rays, worth a flyer? He's been pretty meh last 2 years but he did have some good seasons in OAK. He'd be an upgrade over Maile and god forbid Martin gets hurt I wouldn't want to roll with Maile full time. I believe we made an offer for him last time but he picked the Rays because of playing time. I would assume we would still be interested.

Laika Community Moderator Posted June 26, 2017 Posted June 26, 2017 Anyone think picking up good Canadian boy Michael Saunders could be a very small upgrade? Or are we happy with DSJ and ZEKE!
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2017 Posted June 26, 2017 That was a fun interview with Searage, dude's a boss!

P2F Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2017 Posted June 26, 2017 Kenley Jansen finally walked somebody today. On June 25th. First walk he's issued in 2017. Basically three months into the season. That's remarkable!
Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2017 Posted June 26, 2017 Vogt was claimed by the Brewers.

Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2017 Posted June 26, 2017 Franklin Barreto called up to the A's Just realised he didn't earn this promotion by any means. 5% BB 30% K, 92 wRC+ in AAA. Happy for the kid, but yuck.

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted June 26, 2017 Posted June 26, 2017 How are the SF Giants 27-51 Just. Damn...
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2017 Posted June 26, 2017 I don't feel sorry for them and the insane ticket/parking prices. I hope that org goes into a drought

Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2017 Posted June 26, 2017 How are the SF Giants 27-51 Just. Damn... Remember when they collapsed at the end of last year too? They've been absolutely horrible for close to a year now.

I hope that org goes into a drought Welcome to San Francisco where everything bleeping thing is expensive. As for Giants tickets, mostly could always get them cheaper off StubHub anyways.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted June 26, 2017 Posted June 26, 2017 Remember when they collapsed at the end of last year too? They've been absolutely horrible for close to a year now. Good point. Giants are probably legit bad and need to re rool significantly. Cubs are underorming but will be fine even if they just hang on for now. They'll turn it around this year or next.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2017 Posted June 26, 2017 How are the SF Giants 27-51 Just. Damn... No Bumgarner. Cueto hasn't been elite this season. Awful back end of the rotation. Outside of Posey, they have no other great bats to fill out the lineup. Belt is hitting like s***. Shaky bullpen. The Rockies and D'Backs have improved. It's really an awful team on paper.
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2017 Posted June 26, 2017 "Some with the Giants muse that the team even misses Angel Pagan, who created an odd sort of unity because most of the players disliked him." http://www.foxsports.com/mlb/story/san-francisco-giants-find-nothing-is-routine-in-troubled-2017-season-062617 We should sign him. He's a clubhouse guy.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted June 26, 2017 Posted June 26, 2017 This has seemed fairly likely for some time

Britton on track for a return by July 5 If he looks healthy he'll be a hot ticket for sure
