because on baseball-reference you can go to the team page and they show a list of the all time franchise leaders in WAR. As far as I know fangraphs does not have that. I didn't bother to add up the Blue JAY ONLY fWAR manually, but I can if you insist :P

Click leaders, career, then select pitchers or hitters and change the team select to Blue Jays

1. Halladay 48.9

2. Stieb 43.6

3. Bautista 35.6

4. Fernandez 35.1

5. Delgado 34.7

Stieb was so f***ing good. After he pitched I would make a mental note as to his next game, wouldn't miss it for the world.

I think Bautista is pretty smart for waiting the market out and not making any rash decisions.

He took a hit this year with the injuries, his age, being attached to a draft pick, but like you said, he's probably sitting back, looking at all of his options, and might even be waiting out a few teams until they get desperate, and give him the contract he wants. He'll get one, one way or another, whether it's one year with a high salary, or a multiyear deal with maybe less AAV, but securing him at least 2-3 years. Plus there are other names still out there, who are big bats, that aren't signed yet, so wait until they start to come off the table, a team might get needy, and give you what you want.

Personally, I think if the Jays were going to resign him, it would have happened by now, or they would have said what their final offer is, and moved on entirely, which would probably come out somehow through a leak, JB, his agent, or someone. Either they're trying to talk him into less money annually, with maybe a short term deal, or are trying to find other OF who might be younger, cheaper, or have more years of control. Then again, the market has been so slow with a few exceptions who knows what will happen?

But is he better than a first round pick?

in my opinion it could be (1B/DH only and short term deal) but that's not the point I made. I don't get why Jays fans love to hate Bautista when he hasn't done anything douchey towards the Jays or their fans. Sure I see why O's, Sox, Yanks, etc. fanbases hate him but why are our fans chirping him too?

Because real fans hate baseball douchebags, no matter whose team they are on. JB is a talent, but there is something to be said when the GM of another team tells you they don't want you because the fans hate you.

JB could be like Ortiz, instead he is a douche. It appears this Management is trying to build a more respectable team which likely means less BS with umpires and other teams. I prefer that model. I let him sign elsewhere and collect the pick.

His stunt last spring commenting on 'they got a discount for my years of service now I want to get paid more' was fitting when karma crashed his season. His injuring himself trying to throw the oriole out at first, more karma. The guy doesnt play the right way enough.

It's this sentence that lets me rest comfortably if he decided to move on.

"In my eyes, I've given this organization a five-year hometown discount already."

lol... real fans enjoy what they(players) do between the lines... you haven't seem to have a clue about Ortiz's doucheness between the lines or in the media either. Give your head a shake.

You being drafted by the Dodgers still f***ing cracks me up. :D

Ortiz corrected himself and was a leader off and on the field by the end of his career. Will JB get a good bue tour? JBs garbage happens inside and outside the line. You think the fans that the GM was referring to don't like JB because of his outside the lines attitude? How about the umpires?

Regarding me being drafted, don't be jealous, I wasn't drafted, I was signed. Your a hero to some on here, you should be proud of that. Respect.

Regarding JB, good riddance and thanks for the first rounder I hope. Making demands last spring sure worked out well for him. Another douche move.

You're so unaware, Kirksaw(RIP) said in the past, Papi's by far and wide the worst among blue on calls and etiquette. Bats has toned it way down consciously, he's a douche, ain't saying different but, these guys perform between the lines. If you think Bats will be s*** next year, then say it, otherwise shut the f*** up. I don't believe a guy who's played ball sees the difference. Also, Papi had a last year pass, by the media.

As for you as a sign... what's your name/year?

Jose Bautista was a douche for setting a value for himself and wanting to test free agency if that value was not met? How was that a douche move? Give me a break. He gambled and lost. It's his prerogative. You come on here and whine incessantly about a guy and you don't see the irony that you are exhibiting the exact same behavior you are calling him out for.

You talk about Bautista and the orioles. O'day back a few years struck out Bautista and then he started started in at Bautista and that got bautista going. In 2015 O'day just about hit Bautista in the head and he hit the next pitch out of the park and pimped the home run. 10 days later a rule 5 player from Baltimore throws behind him and he hits another one out in the same at bat and pimps the home run and Adam Jones takes offense. I'm sorry, when guys throw at you and you get them, Bautista had every right to pimp those shots. He's been hit 66 times in his career and has charged the mound zero times. Bautista got hit 16 times in one season and never charged the mound. Manny Machado has been hit a total of 12 times in his career and he's charged the mound, thrown his bat and had a hissy fit for being tagged.

If you take a look at the compilation of home runs hit by Bautista and Donaldson you'll find that Bautista gets around the bases way quicker than Donaldson. It isn't even close. Donaldson admires his shots a lot more than Bautista who routinely has his head down and runs at a pretty good clip.

Bautista has an elite understanding of the strike zone and is a highly competitive guy. He does question calls and often he's right. This also gets him a lot of close calls. A few years ago he challenged the umps more than he does now. I really noticed him making a more concerted effort to tone down his interaction with umpires. Lots of players challenge calls with umps. Papi complained all the time, and Pedroia made everyone in baseball look good, because he complains more than anyone.

Bautista isn't a guy that starts stuff. If he feels you've wronged him, he will react and won't back down in the heat of the moment. He takes it too far at times with umps, but really the only home runs he's pimped were the unique situation of the bomb hit in the playoff game that was a complete emotional thing that was just a natural reaction and the two against balitimore.

Jose does a tremendous amount for charity. In all his endorsement deals he includes clauses for the charities he supports. I get why people get annoyed at Bautista at times, but on the whole he does a lot for those in need and has done a lot on the field for this team. He always makes himself available for media, he's never once charged the mound. He plays the game with a lot of passion. I think it's terrible how some people constantly complain about his character. I have a lot of faults myself, so I don't expect ball players with the spotlight on them all the time to be perfect in all situation.

I hope Bautista signs with the Jays because he still has a lot of talent and ability to help this team, and he's one of my favourite Jays of all time.

No research required, my name's Brian. As for Jose, I have no idea how he will perform. He seems to take care of himself but he is getting to that age and who knows what he has taken in his career. I do know he wrecked his shoulder being an ass trying to throw a guy out at first.

Spanky, you run around like an ass on here. If you don't like me, no problem, don't respond. Pretend Im dumn and a phoney if you like.

Jose Bautistas the bomb. Definitely the best offensive Jay that I've seen in adulthood. With that said, his last year with all the injuries and age raises some serious red flags. It's a shame, but I think his best years are behind him. If we can get him at a reasonable price and tenure I'd be all for it but I think the money could be allocated in a more useful manner. With that said, I'd rather overpay a bit for Bautista then having some scrap heap guy fill his place.

It literally makes no sense for the Phillies to part with a draft pick for a short term deal with Bats, I would guess there is no validity to this rumor at all.

I thought the same thing, but good ole Kenny Ken's talking about it.
