Is Lawrie still without a team? With Donaldson injured, it would actually be a smart get... Travis looks hurt and in no way should Barney be getting regular at bats. If Lawrie came back it would interject some excitement in the beaten down fanbase

I never liked the deal much from the get go... Sure, it's okay if he's just gonna be a guy coming off of the bench, but it's stupid to plug in Pearce as an every day player for a team who's reached the last 2 ALCS'

Yeah, just a cheap stopgap to appease the base and fill a hole while the team inevitably reaches an impasse. It's f***ing weak. They could have at least did more in free agency to field a competitive product. I wish AA and Beeston were still running the show.

I think the truth is that everything went as right as it could last year and this team just barely sneaked into the playoffs. The offense was lacking spark last year and we lost arguably our best offensive player... Not to mention replacing Saunders with Pearce... That's a big downgrade right there alone.

I really thought these guys were gonna come out and mash against Miley, but I don't think this old roster can mash against anyone right now... Holy s*** do they look pathetic.

And a ton of you guys were making fun of the Oriole roster before the season started too...
