BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted November 30, 2016 Posted November 30, 2016 No thank you! I loved hearing about how you can bean runner's in the back from CF. It really made me think. There is a First time for everything terminator. Glad I could help you yet again!!! You're Welcome buddy!
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted December 1, 2016 Posted December 1, 2016 Fowler + Granderson in the OF would be pretty darn good. Add Pearce and Blevins and we'd be a WS contender.
Gary Verified Member Posted December 5, 2016 Posted December 5, 2016 From Heyman: Fowler and blue Jays are still apart in talks. Cards are one other strong possibility.
vic city Verified Member Posted December 5, 2016 Posted December 5, 2016 Fowler + Granderson in the OF would be pretty darn good. How do you hit 30 HRs and only end up with 59 RBI? Is that a record?
FrozenRopes Verified Member Posted December 5, 2016 Posted December 5, 2016 All this talk about OF and 1B, when will work on the bullpen needs? I am all for Fowler and Granderson.

intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted December 5, 2016 Posted December 5, 2016 How do you hit 30 HRs and only end up with 59 RBI? Is that a record? Hitting at the top of a weak NL lineup, though I think he got some time closer to the heart of the order the more the Mets' lineup died off. 30/59 is still pretty crazy though.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted December 5, 2016 Posted December 5, 2016 How do you hit 30 HRs and only end up with 59 RBI? Is that a record? Assuming that fangraphs' stats for homeruns and RBI since 1920 are accurate, then for hitters with at least 300 PA since 1920: -For players with 30 or more homeruns, Curtis Granderson's 2016 of 30 homers and 59 RBI is indeed the lowest (RBI - HR = 29) -For players with 20 or more homeruns, the lowest RBI-HR total belongs to Chris Hoiles of the 1992 Baltimore Orioles, who had 20 dingers and only 40 RBI (RBI - HR = 20) -For players with 10 or more homeruns, the honour belongs to Scott Hairston of the 2008 Padres, who hit 17 homeruns to go along with 31 RBI (RBI-HR = 14) -For 5 homeruns or more, Karl Rhodes of the 1994 Cubs has the record, hitting 8 homeruns and driving in 19 (RBI-HR = 11) -For at least 40 homeruns, Barry Bonds' 2003 campaign has that record, he hit 45 homeruns and drove in 90 (RBI-HR = 45) -Lastly, for at least 50 homeruns, this one came during Willie Mays' only 50+ homer season, where he hit a modest 52 cuadrangulares and helped his teammates score 112 runs (RBI-HR = 60) Trust me, I checked.

Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted December 5, 2016 Posted December 5, 2016 Hopefully 4/60 isn't their final offer cause I don't see that cutting it.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted December 5, 2016 Posted December 5, 2016 I got it as well. "Blue Jays offered OF Dexter Fowler 4-year deal in $60M range." That would be a steal

jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted December 5, 2016 Posted December 5, 2016 Whether or not they get him I love what they're trying to do
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted December 5, 2016 Posted December 5, 2016 Just watch not to low ball him too much or he'll just go back to the Cubbies! Its happened before!
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted December 5, 2016 Posted December 5, 2016 That would be a steal Fowler wants 18 AAV... they're not too far apart.
CHRIS Verified Member Posted December 5, 2016 Posted December 5, 2016 Fowler wants 18 AAV... they're not too far apart. If only we had $8 million kicking around somewhere... Dammit Smoak.
Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted December 5, 2016 Posted December 5, 2016 Fowler wants 18 AAV... they're not too far apart. If they could meet in the middle at 66M/4 I think that's a pretty solid deal.

Or sarcasm which people here don't seem to get. But seriously I know people in the industry. I rushed home just to post for all of you.

MunenoriKawasakiMVP Verified Member Posted December 5, 2016 Posted December 5, 2016 Mehhh. Not sure about Fowler. I think he's more of a true 2.5 WAR player and I'd rather get Turner even if it means paying more.
