nmrch Verified Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Depending on the price, it might be a good gamble, he put up 3 good seasons before stinking it up this year
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 That's one ugly rotation. I like it. Yep, if Stroman returns to his 2014/2015 form, and Liriano has a big year in a contract year, that's a darn good rotation for 2017. Plus they'd have Bolsinger, possibly Hutch (if he wasn't traded) as depth. Great thing is Jays won't be scrambling for rotation help.
vilifyingforce Verified Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 bb SRF I take it to mean Hutch. I believe!
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Author Posted August 1, 2016 Guys, we are buying Liriano low. He had three straight pretty good years, his K rate is still up there so stuff is still good.
West Texas Forever Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Hrm when he is good he's great but when he's bad watch out.
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Well there ya go to all the complainers! A big name acquisition.

jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 He is a lefty version of Brandon Morrow At least Liriano wasn't made of glass.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Author Posted August 1, 2016 If I had to choose between Hutchison and Liriano, I'd pick the latter.
Cyborg Verified Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Still projects well (3.57 FIP!) though there are some troubling signs (career low SwStr). Fix the command and he could be an ace again.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 That's one ugly rotation. I like it. Lol how about that Redsox rotation though?
2lowitzki Verified Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 At least Liriano wasn't made of glass. I know but both Morrow and Liriano has similar stuffs and velocity but do not have a great control
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Let me get this straight we are the ones getting prospects?
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 How does this s*** bag possibly have that kind of value baffling.
vilifyingforce Verified Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 I take it to mean Hutch. I believe!
vilifyingforce Verified Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 How does this s*** bag possibly have that kind of value baffling. Jays are getting two prospects with Liriano.
West Texas Forever Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Can't believe they washed away Hutch. He should have been in the rotation this year and we shouldn't have picked up Dickey and his sidekicks contracts. Puke.
jerb Verified Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Jon Morosi Verified account @jonmorosi Source: #BlueJays obtaining Liriano and two prospects from #Pirates in return for upper-level pitching prospect going to PIT.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Lariano is way better than Morrow. Morrow had one good season. Lariano has a history of success and track record Now joining Martin again could be really really good
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 How does this s*** bag possibly have that kind of value baffling. Is your reaction to every trade the Jays make like yours to the Donaldson one? I'm guessing yes.
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Who are the prospects is what I wanna know
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Drew Hutchison in Pittsburgh...imagine!
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Let me get this straight we are the ones getting prospects? Seems so. Two in addition to Liriano. I doubt anyone really good though?
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 People here seriously over rating Hutch
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 How does this s*** bag possibly have that kind of value baffling. Have you looked at his past 3-4 seasons? Do some research before you whine about stuff
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Author Posted August 1, 2016 Harold Ramirez is one prospect, pirates #9 prospect
