HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 (edited) this guy has been 50/50 before also Edited August 1, 2016 by HERPDERP
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 He's a frustrating pitcher, though when he's on, he can be one of the more dominant starters in baseball.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Probably didn't get it in by the deadline
sdyment Verified Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Shi was on TV and mentioned a possible late deal...
vilifyingforce Verified Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Davidi retweeted that from Murray. Might be legit.

vilifyingforce Verified Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Davidi now saying we're getting two prospects as well. Um.
jerb Verified Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Scott MacArthur @ScottyMacThinks Drew Hutchison's name was in the mix for Liriano, per source. Unclear whether deal got completed. #BlueJays #MLB
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Author Posted August 1, 2016 Liriano's K rate is still up, but his walks have spiked to 5/9 IP
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Hutchison for Liriano are they f***ed?

Unclear whether deal got completed. #BlueJays #MLB that would not be good, Hutch as much as i dislike him these days might be the better pitcher
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Liriano's K rate is still up, but his walks have spiked to 5/9 IP His BB rates have always been pretty high. With some adjustments he can get back to his career averages.
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Pls no SRF God that would be terrible.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Under control for 2017 as well, not bad. Sanchez, Stroman, Happ, Estrada, Liriano
nmrch Verified Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Pls no SRF no reason to assume its a big piece going the other way, Liriano is broken now, he doesn't have that kind of value
4thOFan Verified Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Under control for 2017 as well, not bad. Sanchez, Stroman, Happ, Estrada, Liriano That's one ugly rotation. I like it.
vilifyingforce Verified Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Not bad except for the part where he's a tire fire right now. And making 13M next season, and Jays are getting prospects with him. He's a contract dump.
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Liriano is having a bad year. Hopefully he can rebound. I'd say this is a pretty good indicator of Sanchez to the pen. I was actually really hoping for Toronto to sign him during his last FA stint (can't remember if it was last year or previous).
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 This is fantastic (depending on what we gave up) if true. Also, Liriano had a really great season with Martin catching him. He's also done really well with Cervelli catching. He might be a guy who really needs a good catcher to guide him through a game.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Shatkins fooling the casual fan with a name they will recognize
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 (edited) Can't stand Liriano. I hate pitchers who don't throw strikes. Edited August 1, 2016 by Jonn
