Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2016 Author Posted May 16, 2016 (edited) Orioles hangout must be having a field day with Bautista getting a solid punch lol You better believe it. http://forum.orioleshangout.com/forums/showthread.php/153058-Bautista-Gets-A-Clean-Shot-To-The-Face?p=4056406#post4056406 Thank you from the Orioles Hangout to Roughned Odor. I know we are all not huge fans of Odor either, but watching him absolutely wreck Jose Bautista with a right hand cross for his bat flipping antics and general d-naggers was absolutely a thing of beauty and a long time coming. If Orioles fans wish to thank odor for standing up to the pompous scumbag and smacking him in his face, this would be the thread to do it in. Maybe I'm out of place and maybe the mods won't approve, if so, I understand, but honestly, Bautista totally deserved that and fans everywhere should be standing up for odor for doing what should have been done a long time ago. Agree or disagree? A guy has deserved a solid punch to the face for awhile? What a f***ing neanderthal this dumb f*** is. "DUUHHHH HE DON PLA LYK DA OREEOLS SO HE NEED PUNCH IN DA FACE!!!!1!11" I don't support violence. Just kidding...that was AMAZING! I can't lie, even as a Jays fan it was pretty amazing. Bautista did deserve it and it was a mean hook. I can't think of anyone who deserves it more. I can! Paul Bernardo. Again, Bautista doesn't play the Orioles way, so has constantly deserved physical violence. Bunch of sanctimonious pricks with Buck Showalter's shriveled, old balls stuck in their mouth. That was Donaldson who rushed him. Of course. Yes, what a crime to rush to punish your teammate's assailant. I bet Adam Jones would stand idly by or at least ask Buck's permission before avenging Manny Machado after he did something douchey. I needed this today. I think we all did. No offense, but that's pretty pathetic. You must live in an exceptionally depressing place. That was so awesome!! Punk a b got what he deserved. Wish nobody had broke it up. New favorite non-Oriole!! "It would have been even more awesome if he had died!! Bautista deserves it. I don't like the way he stands in the batters box." How pathetic is it to adopt a dirtier player than Bautista as your new favourite based on this nonsense? Sure it was a sweet hit but to devote such hatred to a player who has never really done anything exceptionally bad is so petty and laughable. LOVE it. And don't forget, the Rangers were on the receiving-end of Bautista's jerk-like bat flip and stare in Game 5 of the ALDS last year. This punch had to have been 7 months coming. On behalf of all of MLB (I have Yankee and Red Sox fan friends who hate Bautista too) - THANK YOU ODOR. Can I point out that you're a pathetic sack of human excrement? I also sure hope you're at least 75 you dull, boring ****. That bat flip is iconic. Maybe when all you f***ing oldtimers die out we can finally enjoy it. Maybe Donaldson can use the time to preach to Manny about what being a professional is again. Lol what the f***? Machado, in that series, filled his ******* meter far higher than Bautista ever had. Acting like a cocky dickhead is one thing, intending to seriously injure people with a smirk is quite another. I don't hate Machado but kindly f*** off with this nonsense. It's about time.... There's lots more, but class has started. They are so salty, lmao. Edited May 16, 2016 by Boxcar
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 Boxy going all "Fire Joe Morgan" on Orioles Hangout is pretty awesome. At first I was against it because it all seems so petty but now I'm embracing it for it's sheer entertainment value. I have no doubt that Boxy's annotated Cliff Notes version is way more fun to read than the actual board would be.

For fans of a team leading the division, they seem pretty bitter and sad. Instead I got of enjoying the success, they continue to s*** on the Jays. Amazing. Miserable fanbase
admin Site Manager Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 You guys are hypocrits. You know damn well if Machado got punched in the face we'd be cheering.

I enjoyed the punch and if Machado got hit instead after acting like a douche, I'd also enjoy it. I am not of the mind that Machado constantly deserves to be punched, though.

Some of what they write is hilarious, but your responses to them are very orioles fan like. Are you sure you weren't conceived in Baltimore with a small fraction of that residual scumbag Maryland DNA residing inside of you?

A good friend of mine (Yankee's fan) proclaimed his newfound love for Odor in a similar manner....its pretty sad.

I actually have no idea what you mean since I enjoyed the punch and am not a homer, but you are free to feel however you like.

Dick_Pole Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 I don't know WTF people are celebrating over Odor's punch. Bautista got CLOCKED, absolutely hammered with an unexpected hit. If Mike Tyson or one of the UFC guys hit you like that you should be down on the ground, toes curled, legs spasming and eyes in the back of your head. Even some hockey fights will end with one of the guys going down. Hell, if *I* hit someone that clean with a shot like that I'd like to think they'd at least fall to the ground. Bautista barely stumbled....his reaction was more like "WTF, f*** you, pal!!!" than any reaction due to pain. So either Bautista has a chin like Chuck Norris or Odor has the strength of a 6 year old little girl. It wouldn't surprise me if Odor has to go on the disabled list now for injuring his hand lol. Real funny Orioles board...dude got punched in the face and took it like a man, 100x better than any of those pussies ever could.

Yeah I mean Bautista got clocked with nearly everything Odor had and he seemed fine. Bell was obviously rung a little bit but he seemed fine.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 Not true Yeah not sure why Admin is mis-characterizing his own board like this. When do we all agree on anything? Never. This place is hardly monolithic. There would be people taking different sides of any debate like they're always is.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 Not true speak for yourself. I'd be cheering.

Testicles Verified Member Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 A post from Orioles Hangout: I bleed orange and black. I sat through my first nine inning Orioles game at Memorial Stadium at age three and cried when it was over because it wasn't enough baseball. I came across The Orioles Hangout pretty soon after I discovered the internet, or at least it seems that way. This message board was my first encounter with interacting with faceless strangers who I only knew by their user name, but man! There were SO many smart, passionate O's fans! I learned something new almost every time I clicked on a thread! I wasn't long removed from saying goodbye to my childhood dog, a Belgian Shepherd named Millie. Truth be told, I've lost blood relatives and didn't hurt as bad as I did when I said goodbye to her. When I saw Tony Pente's post about the same subject, I shot him a PM with my condolences and to offer an ear if he needed to talk. We chatted back and forth a bit, and a few months later he asked me if I was interested in working for the site as the Managing Editor. Naturally I jumped at the opportunity, but I have to admit I was a bit skeptical and thought Tony might have been overstating the site's access to not only all of the minor league affiliates, but the big league club as well. I met Tony outside the Warehouse on a cold, rainy February afternoon still skeptical about where this was going. Sure enough, I left after our lunch meeting with Greg Bader with a full-season press credential hanging around my neck. The credibility of this site didn't fully come into frame until I met Tony at the ESPN Zone for a fan Q & A the Orioles were doing that featured then-GM Jim Duquette. As Duquette approached, his face lit up and he said, "Hey! Tony! How the hell are you?", and then went into specific discussions about off-season moves and...well, it was starting to set in. My first Opening Day as a member of the media was INCREDIBLE. I kind of just followed Tony around...up the elevator to the press box, down the elevator to the "tunnel", and then a left turn into the HOLYSMOKESTHEFREAKING Orioles' clubhouse. I still remember standing at the entrance as Tony disappeared leaving me thinking, "That's not for me. I'm not supposed to be in there. Can't be." I think Tony called my name three or four times before I snapped to it, followed him in, and right to shaking hands with (then prospect) John Parrish. As we made our way around the lockerroom, players greeting Tony by first name and then shaking mine, it made me feel silly for my skepticism just a few weeks prior. I was a die-hard fan, a baseball guy, and I'd just been given full-access to my favorite team. A fan with a press pass. For four years, I got to write any story about any player I wanted. I also got an education in how local sports media works...who the good guys were, who the not-so-good guys were. I also quickly learned those same characters inside the Orioles' clubhouse. I saw and heard a handful of things in my brief time in that clubhouse that certainly would have changed the way some guys were perceived publicly. It's also made me somewhat of an elitist in a sense...I chuckle whenever I hear someone call into a sports talk radio show and declare who are and aren't "good guys" in the clubhouse, and all I can think is, "Buddy, you have no idea what that guy does and says in that locker room." Tony asked me several times in 2011 if I was sure I still wanted to do it. I'd move another 30 minutes further away from Oriole Park and I was struggling to keep up with approving new users let alone write much meaningful content. I assured him I was still all-in, I was enthusiastic about what was coming up, but the truth was there were only so many happy puff pieces I could write and only so many ways to say, "They suck and it's not going to get any better anytime soon," and I was done. The Orioles and their failing ways beat the will to write out of me. Naturally, they made the playoffs in 2012 for the first time in 15 years. I'm asked by family and friends if I regret giving it up now that the team has legitimate stars and have repented from their losing ways. I don't. I'd trade a press pass for the post season any day and I almost feel like the 2012 season was the baseball gods way of balancing my baseball galaxy. But yeah, your s***** message board is TOTALLY superior to OH. lmfao

Testicles Verified Member Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 This post is really weird. Don't really know how to respond to it. You must have reading comprehension problems. The dude got a full season press credential for 4 years for being on the OH staff.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2016 Author Posted May 16, 2016 You must have reading comprehension problems. The dude got a full season press credential for 4 years for being on the OH staff. Yeah, nice story but it doesn't say anything about the quality of content or posters on the site. Irrelevant, you could say.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 You must have reading comprehension problems. The dude got a full season press credential for 4 years for being on the OH staff. ... and? Hurrah that the Orioles are loose with what they consider "press" I guess?
Testicles Verified Member Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 Yeah, nice story but it doesn't say anything about the quality of content or posters on the site. Irrelevant, you could say. Much higher quality than a bunch of 14 year olds calling each other bitches all day.

Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 Hockey fan? There's probably less fighting in hockey than in baseball now.

GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 This is literally the worst board to compare poster-organizational access to. Cough.
