Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 Legit poster This series with the Jays pits two power hitting teams...and they pitch better to me, the Jays are the best all around team in the AL East. They can really hit and they can outpitch the Orioles..particularly tonight with one of the best arms in Stroman, who at 5'8 may be the smallest pitcher in the major leagues...with the very best stuff.Im not very high on Mike Wright and if he doesn't pitch very well tonight, Tyler Wilson could be waiting in the wings...both tonight and for the rotation. Id be happy to win two of three at home, but it might be tough for this club to win even one in this series because of the matchups.Im pulling for a good series from our guys, but Im keeping my expectations low.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 We can out pitch the Orioles for sure, but outhit? Not yet
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 We can out pitch the Orioles for sure, but outhit? Not yet Of course we can. O's pitching suxx, Jays could destroy them easily
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 Legit poster He probably got banned for that post
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2016 Author Posted April 19, 2016 Your discussion of "pitch better" appears to solely focus on the SP. Our BP is definitely better as is our D. Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh???? We probably only have one poor defensive player on the diamond in Bautista, and Saunders might be average. Pillar, Goins, Donaldson, Martin, Tulowitzky are all near gold glove caliber. Bullpen might be better but it's so Orioles to overrate it as usual.

All these discussions about batting, defense, starting pitching and/or relief pitching will be irrelevant when the Jays are above the O's for 10 games.

jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 He said something around the fact that the jays offense was already great without Donaldson and the pitching needed more help. The skill level difference between the two didn't matter.

admin Site Manager Posted April 20, 2016 Posted April 20, 2016 " Martin is the worst pitch framer I've ever seen. Maybe he's having an off night because he's always had a good defensive reputation. "

KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2016 Posted April 20, 2016 I thought he was excellent actually. I think he's quoting Orioles Hangout. Doesn't make sense to post ITT otherwise.

Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2016 Author Posted April 20, 2016 Remember when Stroman threw at Caleb Joseph's head because he accidentally stepped on Jose Reyes' finger? I will never forget what that punk did. Remember when Manny Machado threw his bat at another player and started a fight because he got tagged too hard (='[) and then tried to hit the opposing catcher in the head with a bat swing multiple times while laughing about it? I will NEVER forget what that punk did. But I'll probably forgive it because i don't have a massive broomstick wedged up my tight butthole.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2016 Posted April 20, 2016 Remember when Adam Jones and Ryan Flaherty got really mad that Jose Bautista hit a home run instead of letting the Orioles bean him? Lol @ any Orioles fan trying to bring up the antics of a another team. They are full of shitbag players.
Testicles Verified Member Posted April 20, 2016 Posted April 20, 2016 What's wrong with Orioles Hangout? I post there occasionally and it's a pretty good place to talk baseball. I believe it was rated the best sports message board by Forbes or something. And Roy freakin' Firestone posts there so that's pretty cool by itself. I don't think it's nearly as strict as you guys think it is. I've seen plenty of fans of other teams post there. Some Cardinals fans, some Sux fans, even a Blue Jay fan or two. No one gets banned unless they are obviously there to troll (from what I've seen). The only thing I can come up with is that they don't really let you cuss, which kinda sucks because I like to let the expletives fly when I'm watching baseball. Weams is a cool guy too. One of the nicest guys you'll meet, honestly. I think some of the quotes you have of him are him being sarcastic, because there's no way he actually believes that Donaldson quote. No big deal, you're entitled to your opinions. I'm just curious. I read your board from time to time because I like keeping up with other teams around the league (and around the division especially), and this is a cool place too. You guys know the game, and that's great to see as someone who loves baseball. Congrats on the Blue Jays win tonight and good luck the rest of the series.
Testicles Verified Member Posted April 20, 2016 Posted April 20, 2016 Also, you don't have to pay to post there. I've never paid.
