Replacing him with a better bat but average or worse defender would be a net loss. Bautista, EE, Donaldson are all conceivably top 10 bats in the AL.

I understand the argument that Bautista is a douche - I don't buy it but I get it. But they cheer for Manny Machado who gets in fights because he gets tagged too hard and throws bats at people.

Machado had a moment, but he's a special talent and seems like he's smartened up. I don't feel negatively towards him.

I don't hate Machado. I like watching him play. Matter of fact he and O'Day (who I also think is a huge tool) are two of my favorite players to watch play, despite my personal feelings toward them.
