Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 He was funny haha. I wished Blair spoke against that but he kept quiet, last week he as all over Ventura Blair probably agrees (because he's an idiot).
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 Russell is something else eh? He had a 7 wRC+ in April. Has a 150 wRC+ in June. Somewhere there is middle ground I'm sure lol. Its crazy. The first 4-5 weeks he (and Tulo) honestly looked like he just one day forgot how to hit....period. Now he is putting balls in play with authority and his BB ratio is climbing and K's coming down. I'm not worried about Martin's D numbers. He is still quick and has a cannon. His offensive demons were probably hurting his D. That's can be a thing. It must have been tough. I think this offense will have a long run when they are better than the BoSox and O's. Its comin' bruther.

I still fully expect the O's to crumble, having literally one starting pitcher isn't going to get them far.
ChrisS Verified Member Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 Martin likely had some sort of injury.
BTS Community Moderator Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 It would be nice if Martin's return to form allows the team to move him in the offseason. 3/60 for an ageing catcher is pretty unpalatable.

It would be nice. It would also be nice if Pentacost actually stayed healthy and reached his potential . Who are the FA catchers this off-season?

BTS Community Moderator Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 Playoffs 8 out of 10 years with 4 different teams What's his batting average on Tuesday afternoons with at least 20% humidity?

RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 Martin is a champ who's impact on the baseball field goes far beyond the numbers.

It would be nice if you could spend a day without fantasizing about potential salary dumps to be had in the offseason.

I've been listening to his 2 shows in the morning for 2 weeks straight and he's said the dumbest s***, but he puts good people on the line, he had Gillick on the other day

The team was forced to bandage it up with a Paw Patrol bandaid. Word is he's going to need a "blow" for a few days followed by 3 days at DH.

I think it's gonna be a great race down the line. Jays/Sox/O's are so evenly matched and the Yanks and Rays are pretty solid too. I can't remember a time when this division was so evenly matched.

You should have taught your son how to hit left handed pitching.

It'll come down to the Jays and Redsox, with one of them taking the 1st wildcard spot.

Going to come down to who stays healthy, and moves made to plug holes. All 3 of these teams are pretty close. Still like our chances as I expect our offense to lead the pack for at least a couple months of whats left. Also like the depth we have at SP to backfill Sanchez going to the pen.
