saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 Estrada if possible, if Tulowitzki has a good season his contract can be moved. Tulo has a full no trade clause and if he puts up a 4 to 5 war season, why do you want to move him anyways?

Jayday Verified Member Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 Those are the same "fans" that are still mad we didnt resign Price Fans not angry that price wasn't signed , but they are angry that he wasn't even given an offer . Maybe he signs a 3 year 100 mil offer. And in case people say there's no way he would. The real fact is that nobody here knows what Price would've done, and that making that offer would cost less than a penny.

Fans who are angry about him not getting an offer are dumb and turn a blind eye to all the factors around it.

You don't insult a player by offering a contract far below market value.

Jayday Verified Member Posted March 2, 2016 Posted March 2, 2016 my guess is there was verbal communication if you think otherwise your pretty f***ing thick headed Price himself said that he was very surprised that there was NO offer. He didn't mention any "verbal communication " , and that's because it didn't take place, other than in your fool head. And I can tell you where I am thick ...so bend over and I'll verify my claim , don't want you guessing on it .

HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted March 3, 2016 Posted March 3, 2016 New Details about Bautista, from the man himself He is seeking 6 years. He also believes Rogers Communications leaked the number http://www.thescore.com/news/973571

KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted March 3, 2016 Posted March 3, 2016 He's really ruining his legend status in Toronto. At this point, he's really doing Rogers PR work for them. You don't negotiate through the media.
ValiantJaysFan Verified Member Posted March 3, 2016 Posted March 3, 2016 If he wants to negotiate through the media, he should have expected that. He's not getting a 6 year deal from ANYONE. Bon voyage.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted March 3, 2016 Posted March 3, 2016 Bautista making life easier for Shapiro, if anything.
Slade Old-Timey Member Posted March 3, 2016 Posted March 3, 2016 Does Bautista know wtf he is doing? He had fan support if he just shut the f*** up. Casuals and bandwagoners would of just villainized Shipiro at the end of the season when he didn't get resigned. Now Bautista just looks like an idiot and everyone will think Shipiro and Rogers are justified (which they are), when he walks at the end of the season. Top it off if they agree to an extension with EE, Bautista will look even worst.

HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 Bautista wants over $30m per year into his 40s
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 Bautista wants over $30m per year into his 40s I was watching this and thought I mis-heard, Russo - paraphrasing "oh my god, sign Encarnacion."
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 Bautista wants over $30m per year into his 40s Meh, I wouldn't even want to come close to that number
Laika Community Moderator Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 Greinke turning 32 got way overpaid by a desperate team and it resulted in a 6 year deal. It's hard to fathom Bautista getting what he wants. It's possible some desperate team next offseason would throw 5 years and a lot of money at him though.
