How high on the offended scale should people be when Caitlyn Jenner is the butt of jokes? My works harassment policy classifies 'overhearing' a conversation between a friend and I talking about f***ing his wife in the ass as harassment......... Why does North America want to empower people to amplify them to become more over-sensitive pussies? tiem for bed, boooze gone.

Any guy that f***ed up in a family of people who do stunts like that for attention should ridiculed. You know he'd just be a normal guy if his daughters weren't famous.

burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 Didn't Jenner get in a car accident and kill an old lady? Maybe he/she didn't hit the person directly but I thought I heard something about that. Then she wins the Arthur Ash award the same year. Puke

Funny that the guy he interviewed blasted Rogers ownership for being cheap.

Also been excellent his entire career so it makes zero sense in so many ways. I think Tulo is a great fit for the next few years at SS at RC since his biggest strength is his arm. Since the turf slows balls down he'll be able to take advantage of it more than the average SS. On the flip side there is the added injury risk but apparently this turf is better for players health.

The same should have applied to Reyes.

I'm so bored of this topic, it's all anecdotal. There's no way to prove it causes more or less injury than grass, or previous turf, or playing on hot coals. What's indisputable is that there is a perception that it causes injury among players.

Sorry for the confusion, but we weren't discussing injury risk. We were discussing whether the slow turf benefits players who rely on their arm more than their range. My statement was ambiguous now that I look back.

Well grounders definitely looked a lot slower on the most recent turf. I doubt anybody can or will bother to quantify this, but you would probably hypothesize that such an effect would benefit strong arm/average range guys, whereas a faster turf would benefit average arm/strong range guys. I know Tulo is still a strong defender at short, but I'd be lying if I said it doesn't bug me how often he chooses to throw on the run. But, as long as it works...

I remember JD said yesterday in an interview that he remembers a few years ago he with the As he played a series in TB followed by RC and said after that he felt like he needed to be in a wheelchair lol. Players will say you definitely get more sore playing on turf which I would agree with. Whether that makes a difference injury or performance wise who knows. I'd find it interesting what players home to first times are on grass compared to turf as usually turf makes people faster.

Maybe he felt sore because he played too many back to back games, or made an unusual number of tough plays. Or maybe he felt sore because he knew was going to play on turf, and so he convinced himself mentally that it was going to be harder on his body. I don't understand why they can't put a layer of padding under the turf if it really is so painful to dive on.
