THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Are you gonna use the Infinity Gauntlet to make sure that happens? Reality gem activated .
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Is it possible that Shapiro is planning on bringing in Francona and this is what he and AA can't agree on? I can see AA being a pussy regarding letting Gibby go, since he was his choice over that long hard thought out process, especially after making it to the ALCS. Now that I think about it, there's a really good chance of this being the case. I could see this, very possible.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Reason AA is gone is that Shapiro is bringing in Terry Francona AA didn't agree with that This is not the case.
baubau Verified Member Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 He'll be back much like Don Mattingly was back with the Dodgers after they brought on Friedman. But he's not Shapiro's guy so he's not very safe. Not sure if this point was made or not, but starting January, if Gibby is not fired than he gets paid for the following year. So as he wasn't fired in Jan 2015, he is going to get paid for 2016. Now if you don't fire him before Jan 2016 then you will pay him for 2017. I am sure Rogers would like MS to make up his mind so they don't pay someone to do nothing for a year. If they already have doubts about him they may opt to just let him go before his contract renews for another year.
blurnandez Verified Member Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 I bet Shapiro hates that nonsense rolling contract that Gibbons has. What a sweet deal for a guy like Gibby / stupid deal for the club.
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 This is not the case. We'll see.

Yeah if this was the sticking point than AA was the architect of his own demise by giving Gibby a contract that would force the org to have this discussion every December.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Can you just stop with this demoted and fired ********? There is nothing to suggest either of those things happened and you braying it out over and over doesn't make it true. Do you realize that you're speaking to the most logical person in the world? He did a test and everything, so back off.
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 I did a test too. I tested my browser input to make sure I was actually at Blue Jays Message Board and not the CBC comments section, so maybe Grant can bleat his garbage there instead.
Slugger Verified Member Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 I think Gibbons will be here in 2016.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 I think Gibbons will be here in 2016. I do too. Managers have little bearing on the outcome of the season anyway and Shapiro likely doesn't want to rock the boat any further if he doesn't have to. Like I said above, he'll be in a similar spot as Don Mattingly was this year with the Dodgers because he's not the GM's guy.

Gabe Kapler? Demarlo Hale Eric Wedge
