Kaz had 2nd half meltdowns the last two seasons. That doesn't bode well in the playoffs which is when stuff starts to matter. That's the main goal.

Thanks King, hopefully he's the reason that all of Cleveland's pitching prospects are getting developed to be saber strong. I would love to see that approach here.

 

I doubt one guy in the org is the reason for anything. The way Cleveland is developing isn't necessarily the right way, they don't have many guys outperforming there peripherals. So maybe their saber strong ways, aren't that.

I think they'll still be able to get some good prospects. Votto is a top 5 hitter in all of baseball and even with the contract some team will give up a premium just to get the bat.
