Effit Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 Well at least the youngins looked good..Stro, Osuna, Sanchez. Showed the more experienced guys how it's done.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 For me the biggest blunder was Pompey not even attempting to steal with Martin at the plate and no outs. Like, he was a foot inside the dirt. To me it looks like he was given the red light from Gibby. Whole sequence made no f***ing sense.
5minutesforframing Verified Member Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 Big toe area of his right foot is clearly touching the bag. It was the right call. We should be wondering why the bats are silent and the D is playing terrified out there.
Nabru Verified Member Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 Can't hit to save their lives. 2 in the last 9 innings of the game. Just big hack after big hack. Rough Stench was out at 2nd, it was blatantly clear. That ump needed a few foul balls, maybe even a bat off the head. Fking the Jays all game with the strikezone. Blue Jays didn't show up, Rangers did, now there's no room for error. Fk MLB, fk umps, fk Hawkins. Good job Stroman. Certainly not a conspiracy theorist but that was just a complete f***ing by that Italian umpire this aft. How many more borderline calls did the Rags get compared to the Jays today? ~20 I believe someone said? Just a complete screwjob. Why we do not go to computerized umpiring is beyond me.

Not sure if was the biggest one but Martin got back to back breaking ball. Should absolutely have been on the move early in the count.

Steal the base and bunt him to third.
FrozenRopes Verified Member Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 You have to go estrada, price and stroman... Don't you?
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 You have to go estrada, price and stroman... Don't you? Probably
JFD Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 I have a feeling the Jays are gonna pull off an epic comeback. they're too good to go out like this.
Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 Big toe area of his right foot is clearly touching the bag. What in the literal f*** are you smoking?
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 if they can win next game they have to use their best pitchers. Can't let the season rest in Dickey's hands.

RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 A lack of playoffs experience
havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 You have to go estrada, price and stroman... Don't you? If they win game 3, I think you have to send out Price on 3 days rest.
Cookie Verified Member Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 I have a feeling the Jays are gonna pull off an epic comeback. they're too good to go out like this. I really hope so. I never realized how many of friends on FB are from Texas until just now.
JFD Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 if they can win next game they have to use their best pitchers. Can't let the season rest in Dickey's hands. hopefully Gibby sees it that way.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 If they win game 3, I think you have to send out Price on 3 days rest. Price on 3 is better than Dickey every day of the week and absolutely with the season in the balance. same goes for game 5, if they get there it has to be Stroman.
GenXJays Verified Member Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 You have to go estrada, price and stroman... Don't you? YES... Estrada goes deep next game and gets the win. Price gets that monkey off his back with a dominant performance and Stroman goes the distance and gets a shutout. BLUEJAYS win the series
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 If they win game 3, I think you have to send out Price on 3 days rest. Yeah and than Stroman on short rest Game 5. It's definitely bleak but I can see a path to winning the Series. Martin Perez is a ******** pitcher as is Lewis and Holland should they choose one for Game 5. Gallardo and Hamels can be hit as well. Still, not looking good.
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 Anyone who votes no is trolling. Nobody can be that stupid.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 These guys need to check their egos. Jose and Edwin consistently have massive shifts on them to their pull side but never attempt to push the ball the other way. Just huge uppercut swings. Obviously they've built their careers on being power hitters but sometimes the situation calls for mixing it up.
Effit Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 The playoffs will be easy to make. But once you get there..say your prayers, drink lots of beer, and have a therapist on standby.
JFD Old-Timey Member Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 wasn't definitive enough for them to overturn it. I'm not upset about it...
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 Wow Pillar is pissed at the officiating I'm not happy with it, but I'm really disappointed in how our team forgot how to hit part way through the game. They got back in it taking the ball the other way and just putting good swings on the ball and then went homer happy and didn't score again.
nextyear Verified Member Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 Game 3 will be fun to watch. If the Blue Jays win it they will have one more chance to get the series back to the Rogers Centre. Hoping for the Blue Jays to win 3 straight is a bit too much but I am just hoping the game or games in Texas will be entertaining and competitive (or better, blow outs by the Blue Jays).
polar bear Verified Member Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 if they can win next game they have to use their best pitchers. Can't let the season rest in Dickey's hands. You'd sooner have 0 for 6 Price?
