Yariel Rodriguez is dealing in Buffalo today. Perfect through 3 innings with 5 Ks.

not throwing very hard if you believe the MiLB Gameday velocity. Like 91 to 94.5 but mostly 92.5

Yariel Rodriguez looked good today, albeit in more s***** weather. His split was a really good pitch and his slider had good break. He had command of most of his pitches as well. Velocity should pick up as the weather warms up and he gets more reps. Looking like a good bet to be a SP at some point in the big leagues this year or next

The bats on the other hand are not doing well in the ice cold temperatures of the first series (felt like 28 F) or today. Lots of balls dying at the warning track that usually are long gone. If they play tomorrow and Thursday probably looking at more of the same with mid 30s and maybe snow in the forecast

The Y Rod fastball is definitely more of a cutter

That is good. If it is weird, it will help with the velo not being great.

lol at the minor league broadcasts displaying velo to two decimal places.

f***ing weather in Worcester, I want some AAA action at least.

Good news is tomorrow is slated for a Bisons double header and also AA, high A and low A all get going too.

I wouldn't count on it given the snow today

Bisons offense is waking up, they've now scored 11 runs in their last 4 innings spanning two games in a double header today.

Maybe they can win us the AAA championship this year

So much hype around Ricky in our fan base as if there is already an assumption he will become a top of rotation SP in our in the very near future. Not sure what the probability is but at this point without good odds I would not bet on it. Between the injuries, lack of pitches he is throwing and performance blips it’s no sure thing.

Sources: Cuban international free agent OF Yorman Licourt (20) have agreed to a contract with the Toronto Blue Jays, pending physical.

Estimated bonus: $600,000.

Licourt will travel to the Dominican Republic in the coming days. He left Cuba in 2023 and settled in Mexico.

Well, he's a prospect, they're never a sure thing. ;)

I know. I know almost all on here know. More talking about Jays Twitter and the more casual observers expectations. He is still super young and his stuff is hard to argue with. With social media now anytime he throws a pitch its all over the place.

Still lots of time to develop, but he won't be in our rotation soon. Unless its a spot start in a pinch as an opener, which would be fun to see.

Yeah, we won't be seeing him start in the MLB this year, unless we run into serious injury trouble, likely as a reliever late in the year. Kid's ceiling is frontline SP so it goes with the territory, but people who think he's our next saviour need to back off a bit, lol.

I agree. I would rather see Yariel built up more and given an MLB shot this year at some point.

I know this is his only year with options and they want to work him slowly in the minors, but our window is not forever. Parsons was bad and we really don't know what Manoah and Francis are going to give us as SP this year.
