Orelvis with a 3-run bomb today 410 feet. He was 1-4. With 2Ks.

Barger, 1-4, BB

Horowitz 2-3, BB, K

Schneider 1-3, 2BB

Clement 3-5 with a HR and a double.

 

 

 

Hatch gave up 5 ER in 1.1, polishing up his DFA resume

Well he was 18, stopped pitching, didn't pitch much after being drafted, probably had a light offseason, got hurt in spring training, came back, got hurt again

 

But yeah this offseason will decide the path he goes. Don't really know how a high schooler will fill out, but that seems like he got lazy and then injuries. Hopefully being with Tiedemann for a week or so opens his eyes to how much work he actually has to put in

I was going to post something like "it doesn't look that bad. maybe he just has a thicker body type. it looks like he has a big ass. that could be good!"

 

but then I looked up pre-draft pictures

yeah he has gained a lot of weight and it isn't sitting well. his chest/belly look to be carrying quite a bit.

Maybe we should go back to minor leaguers only getting ham and cheese on white bread at the team spreads.

 

Apparently everyone is eating way to good. For now on you get a cup of rice, plain chicken breast, and some steamed veggies for every meal. For desert is a protein sheke with no added sugar. Problem solved.

Orelvis 3-4 with a walk tonight.

 

Line drive double to left, bouncing single through the SS-3B gap(Horowitz thrown out at the plate on that play since the Bisons 3B coach has a windmill just like Rivera), then beat out a chopper up the middle for an IF hit.

Looks like Connor Cooke is closing in NH now.

 

He has a ridiculous 46 K's in just 24.2 IP in AA so far this season, against just 7 walks.

 

His ERA is a little high but he's running an absurdly high BABIP at .481

 

Just 23 in AA and other than that BABIP he's pretty much owning the level with elite stuff and what looks like elite command as well.

Brown rice.

 

This should be potatoes. They're better for you than rice. More vitamins, more fibre, lower calories per 100g, more protein, less fat, less carbs, more minerals. Obviously this is for a baked or boiled potato and not loaded with butter and such.

I love Potatoes. Rice is way more digestible. Better for fueling workouts and physical activity. You don’t want fibre before you do physical activity unless you want to s*** yourself lol. Calories aren’t bad for you unless you over consume them. Carbs are fantastic for you. Fuel for your body. That Atkins s*** made a generation of skinny fat men with bitch tits because he told people carbs are bad.

I don't think anyone needs to be concerned about what they're eating on game days, IIRC even the minor league players are getting prepared meals for them at the ballpark. The bigger issue for a lot of the guys is likely off-season diet. You can eat rice, broccoli and chicken and still get fat if you're not getting satiated and overeating. When I did strongman/highland games a general meal for me was 6oz of chicken or beef, 300g of broccoli and 3-4 cups of rice to feel satiated, a cup of rice is roughly 200 calories and that's if you're just loosely filling it and not packing it in tightly to try and eat more food. I made the change to potatoes after seeing Fouad Abiad mention he did it to stay full longer and it was a game changer. I'd assume most of these guys eat more calories than the general population and get hungry more frequently.

I don’t think Barreira was thin on draft day. He wasn’t fat, but not skinny.
