Ray Verified Member Posted June 25, 2018 Posted June 25, 2018 Brock Lundquist had a power surge. After hitting 2 HR in 51 games in Vancouver, he's hit 12 HR in 63 games in Lansing.
Laika Community Moderator Posted June 25, 2018 Posted June 25, 2018 Would be fantastic if we get Grosh, Kloff, Conine, and Pardinho in Lansing to start 2019. And hopefully the lot of them move up to Dunedin to finish said hypothetical season as well. This is really stretching it. And why the heck would you expect Conine to be on remotely the same developmental trajectory as those babies?
Slade Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2018 Posted June 25, 2018 Oh, has that been confirmed for Kloff? Thanks. I DM'd him on twitter that's what he said. He didn't give a timeline when so I would expect later in the season.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2018 Posted June 25, 2018 Biggio and Bichette both 2 for 2 with 2 run homers in tonight's game so far
TheHurl Site Manager Posted June 26, 2018 Posted June 26, 2018 Seems like Erie does something different every year (their Grilled Chicken between two Grilled Cheese sandwiches was 2 years ago). This one I'm not as sure of. But Erie is such a short drive that I might go just for the Nerds (can you still get Nerds anywhere?)

THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2018 Posted June 26, 2018 Bo finished 3/4 with a HR, 2 2B, & a SB
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2018 Posted June 26, 2018 Do they still sell the grilled chicken between 2 grilled cheese sandwiches? Hot damn.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2018 Posted June 26, 2018 Hey guys, just FYI, Bo is a 2B, even though he's played 97% of his time at SS this season. https://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/daily-prospect-notes-6-24-and-6-25/

Sorrow Verified Member Posted June 27, 2018 Posted June 27, 2018 Jonathon Davis hit the first cycle in Fisher Cats history today.
P2F Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2018 Posted June 27, 2018 SRF had another strong outing today. 6 2/3 IP, 6 H, 1 ER, 2 BB, 8 K
Captain Adama Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2018 Posted June 27, 2018 Question is now, do you call up SRF this year? Or wait until next year to start his service clock?
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2018 Posted June 27, 2018 Question is now, do you call up SRF this year? Or wait until next year to start his service clock? If we trade both Happ and Estrada, it makes too much sense to call him up and see what we have.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2018 Posted June 27, 2018 The Jays have two starters locked up for next year (safe bet they won't pick up Garcia's option), and both guys have been hurt this year. I'm sure they'd prefer to start next year with Borucki and SRF in AAA, but they have a lot of rotation slots to fill. They might not have a choice.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2018 Posted June 27, 2018 SRF had another strong outing today. 6 2/3 IP, 6 H, 1 ER, 2 BB, 8 K It was nice to see Borucki battling today. I think the kid could be a decent back end starter, but I can't wait for Foley to come up. After watching our guys strike out as much as they did it will be nice to see a pitcher with swing and miss stuff coming up.
SaskJaysFan_2 Verified Member Posted June 27, 2018 Posted June 27, 2018 They really need to sign Estrada to another 1-2 year deal. Losing 3 SPs really sucks. Borucki, SRF and Caviglio may be able to start and do as well as Happ, Estrada and Garcia as a composite.
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2018 Posted June 27, 2018 I hope they sign Happ in the offseason. 2/32M or something like that
BlueRocky Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2018 Posted June 27, 2018 Assuming we trade Happ for prospects, would be great to bring him back. Happ should age fairly well and eat innings for a relatively cheap contract and it would be nice to keep a vet or two to mentor the next generation. Marco scares me a bit if we’re talking another two year extension.
Slade Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2018 Posted June 27, 2018 I hope they sign Happ in the offseason. 2/32M or something like that I wouldn't come back if I were Happ, he would be in the same position every year as a Trade candidate unless they turn this thing around next year which seems unlikely.

This might happen, since any trades should be for BPA, even if pitchers of slightly less value are offered up. Or something like that.

King Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2018 Posted June 27, 2018 Either that, or working something out with the passport so he can go to Vancouver? There's no chance he goes to Vancouver this summer. I don't know why you keep bringing this up.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2018 Author Posted June 27, 2018 There's no chance he goes to Vancouver this summer. I don't know why you keep bringing this up. I never mentioned Vancouver once until this. All I ever said was possible promotion (thinking Bluefield).

Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2018 Author Posted June 27, 2018 He's played 5 games.. So? Plenty of high schoolers start in the Appalachian League. He could've just as easily started there instead of the GCL. It's not a massive jump. Thus, a promo wouldn't be unheard of. It's most likely some sort of injury though.
