Are you referring to hyperbaric oxygen therapy? There haven't been enough randomized control trials to support or refute the use of them (on fractures; there is decent evidence for their use in ulcers), however there are lots of anecdotal evidence that they may work. I'm not sure it'd cut healing time in half, but the theory is delivering oxygen at higher pressures will result in more oxygen delivered to the site of injury. I'm no sports rehabilitation doctor, but every injury and every fracture is different and results and healing time will vary. I didn't catch the presses, but from what I read they hope he'll be back in 2-3 weeks. That really doesn't mean much to me.

If I was Tulo, I'd do that hyperbaric thing. It's quite safe anyways, so what's the harm

Are you a doctor?

(not snark; actual question)

Think he (Tulo) already sleeps in a hyperbaric chamber (at least he used to).

Very interesting. I looked it up and found an article, which states At home, he often sleeps in a hyperbaric chamber, where the rich oxygen atmosphere helps him recover, soothing aches and pains., source - http://www.denverpost.com/rockies/ci_26139000/rockies-troy-tulowitzki-adds-veteran-wisdom-legendary-intensity

I'd go with a hyperbolic time chamber instead of a hyperbaric chamber. That way he'll be fully healed and also increase his power level.

I'm talking about his ego and selfish play.

Hey everyone, did you know that if you don't like Pillar you are a bandwagon fan in villifyingforce's eyes? I don't like Pillar, therefore I haven't been a Jays fan my whole life. It follows. I don't like Pillar, therefore I didn't suffer through all of Dustin McGowan's 673855289 comeback attempts. It follows.

I never said bandwagon. Why are you being so dramatic?

Yeah he did in Colorado, but, I think that was more a had to then a wanted to. I know one of the first things I seen from Hawkins after the deal is how excited he was to be back to sea level lol.

He can bring Travis, Saunders and Izturis with him while at it, lol.

Wish we had a senzu bean right now, that's for sure.

Saw clip of him in the dugout yesterday lifting his arms and going over Revere's swing, so at least he feels better enough now to lift his arms without pain, which is a start.

Anyone heard anything new on Tulo yet? I miss that presence. He wasn't hitting like Tulo, but who didn't think that every game he was about to get smoking at the plate. Always a threat. Our fill ins are fine but we know their ceiling.

Haven't heard anything but the fact he's not on the DL, looked good in the dugout suggests that they're being more cautious than necessary and I suspect if the division looks to slip away you'll see him in there

Was it his throwing shoulder or non-throwing shoulder

Non throwing, so his glove hand side, I'd think it will affect his glove range if he has to play through pain.

Players aren't typically put on the DL in Sept because there's no advantage with the roster sizes.

Exactly. And you can't replace him with anyone who isn't already there anyway.

I'm still praying...living in my own naïve bubble of optimism on this one.

We are a much better team overall with Tulo @ SS and Goins(or better yet Travis, but that dog ain't gonna hunt - 2015) than we are with Goins and Penny/Barney @ 2B.

Agreed of course

Pennington is a perfectly decent player and great to have on the bench. But I want that sweet Tulo/Goins defense back.

Me too. I know every team is missing key player(s) but can you imagine this team with Tulo and Travis (Goins off the bench) with Stro back? Dare to dream.

That's just it. It's awfully rare for every team to have all their best players at the same time. It's such a long season, guys get banged up.

Yankees and Cardinals have been missing lots of guys too. We can't complain. But yeah it would rock to have them all. :)

Every team at one point or another face adversity. The Good teams over come the pretenders crumble.... Lets see who we are.

Blue Jays were a .500 team before the Tulo trade; Blue Jays record since the Tulo injury? 5-4.

unfortunately it brings our defence down just enough, plus Pennington

Time for JD to bring it back up to MVP level.

My bad. They're 4-4 since the Tulo injury. Yeah .500 team.
