HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 I dunno about you guys but this day so far has been unproductive for me at work. Maybe the rest of the week too...
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Players who are excited to come here I like A this point if you're an offensive player and you're not excited about joining this lineup, you're a f***ing idiot.
flafson Verified Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Now we need a press conference from Gibby to figure out the lineup for tonight.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 lol watch Gibby pull a derp and put in Navarro/Smoak to split up the righties.
Camps Verified Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Bat Tulo leadoff. Just bludgeon teams to death from the start.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Could you imagine what the perception of this offense would be if people outside of this fanbase actually understood and appreciated what Devon Travis and Justin Smoak have done for this team this year? We now have *10* players with a wRC+ of 110 or better, those two obviously included Reyes was at 95 Pillar is our only regular now who is under 100
Nox Verified Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 I really don't think anybody should be too disappointed that Hoffman is going the other way. Pretty overrated by the majority on this board. Deal is a solid B+ from the Jays perspective.
Governator Community Moderator Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 We've gotten Russel Martin / Josh-f***ing-Donaldson / Devon Travis / Troy Tulo-f***ing-witzki in less than a year, all for the next 3-5 years. Please add an ace to this list and I will forget 2012 ever happened.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 He was pulled during the game last night, and was only in Chicago, so I would think today He won't be back in time for tonights game, he'll be in the lineup Wednesday.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Michael Baron @michaelgbaron 3h3 hours ago Dobbs Ferry, NY The cost for Tulo would've been (from what I was told) 2 of Wheeler, Noah and Matz and one of d'Arnaud/Plawecki. Tough pill to swallow.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 That seems like a huge ask for the Mets and out of proportion with what we gave them. Kind of like the difference in the demands for the Cueto talks
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 lol AA was persistent again http://www.foxsports.com/mlb/story/troy-tulowitzki-trade-toronto-blue-jays-colorado-rockies-ken-rosenthal-072815?vid=492340291747
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Why would Edwin EVER accept a trade off this team now? Not going to happen. That's why I keep saying the Cards, they need a 1B and our a lock to the Post-Season, any other team he says #FYSMC!! So it's very slim.
DuckDuckGose Verified Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 That seems like a huge ask for the Mets and out of proportion with what we gave them. Kind of like the difference in the demands for the Cueto talks It's a reasonable package if COL was eating salary. Wheeler + Matz + Plawecki for Tulo and cash
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 1 might be what you SHOULD do But 2 is definitely what Gibby WILL do Prefer 2 myself
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 That seems like a huge ask for the Mets and out of proportion with what we gave them. Kind of like the difference in the demands for the Cueto talks Almost makes it seem like they considered the Reyes contract a positive assett which is pretty crazy of them. He's not flat out terrible but his contract sure is.

Pretty overrated by the majority on this board. Deal is a solid B+ from the Jays perspective. You know the Jays made a solid deal when Noxy likes it.
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Why not put Travis Leaf Off and then push everyone back. Travis Tulo Donaldson Bau EE Smoak Martin Pillar Left Field
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Michael Baron @michaelgbaron 3h3 hours ago Dobbs Ferry, NY The cost for Tulo would've been (from what I was told) 2 of Wheeler, Noah and Matz and one of d'Arnaud/Plawecki. Tough pill to swallow. Maybe they asked for more because Tulo didn't want to go there? They needed more incentive to deal him to the Mets.
Ambassador Ch0n Verified Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Reyes was a great guy and a good player. I'm actually sad to see him leave (no homo) Ewwwww, totally homo. Gay.
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 lol AA was persistent again http://www.foxsports.com/mlb/story/troy-tulowitzki-trade-toronto-blue-jays-colorado-rockies-ken-rosenthal-072815?vid=492340291747 He's so f***ing annoying lol. He's probably the guy in every fantasy league that everybody hates. I think at this point, teams only make trades with him once they're convinced (in their mind) that they're winning the deal. That seems like a huge ask for the Mets and out of proportion with what we gave them. Kind of like the difference in the demands for the Cueto talks I think the Rockies believe that they can still flip Reyes for more prospects, maybe to the Mets themselves.
DuckDuckGose Verified Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 1 might be what you SHOULD do But 2 is definitely what Gibby WILL do Pretty sure Gibby was up all night making lineups and just smiling
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Why not put Travis Leaf Off and then push everyone back. Travis Tulo Donaldson Bau EE Smoak Martin Pillar Left Field Pretty much any lineup that has Pillar and the LF at the bottom works. That's how deep the lineup is.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Why not put Travis Leaf Off and then push everyone back. Travis Tulo Donaldson Bau EE Smoak Martin Pillar Left Field That is such a beautiful lineup. 7 mashers, hopefully Saunders plays soon or we get a new LF.
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Just f***ing promote Pompey already!
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 At this point I figure you call up Pompey and be happy with the defense. Kids been hitting well since he was sent to AA anyway, so he might not be a total black-hole
DuckDuckGose Verified Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 That is such a beautiful lineup. 7 mashers, hopefully Saunders plays soon or we get a new LF. Pompey needs to be called up now. No way you can give innings to Bello and Carrera now
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Any GM dumb enough to think Portabello has any trade value?
