Two pretty bad moves i saw this game

-Told Ezequel Cabrerra to bunt on a 2-0 count with no outs and Bauer all over place. I can live with 0-0 or 1-0 but not 2-0 with a speedy runner who won't get doubled up.

-Kept Jeff Francis in the game to face a lefty masher in Raburn in a 6-6 game huge leverage situation. For a guy who "runs the pen well" he has been outrageously bad lately.

Gibbons has to go

I won't defend Francis vs. Raburn...but this "killing lefties this year" The guy is 4 for 5 against Kyle Lobstein and the majority of the rest of his hits have come against the Jays. Just say he's a 116 wRC career against lefties or whatever traditional stat you want to use.

We need a former pitcher running this team, but also someone who's been dedicated & loyal to the club over the years. (i.e. Pat Hentgen) Edited by abola2121

I don't think i said this year, i said he's a lefty masher. 118wrc+ is solid especially against a soft tosser like Francis you know he's going to make contact.

Felipe Alou - co-manager

Cito Gaston - co-manager

Frank Robinson - co-manager

Jack McKeon - co-manager

They are old so need to rotate. They each take a series then hand off to the next.

Frank Robinson was a great player but a HORRIBLE manager.

Can we fire Pete Walker first? He's the bigger problem right now, because of the rotation's woes.

Who is availible ? Is there a elite pitching coach out there that can teach and save this team?

Most likely not, but it sure does make for good internet forum hypothetical talk.

See, when I said Gibbons was a problem, and this team would never do anything with his as manager, it wasn't done out of "hate" or trolling. I meant every word. You're seeing it on the field now. The hick has no clue what he is doing and wouldn't manage another baseball team if every GM in baseball was drunk out of their minds during the hiring process. Rogers has only heavily invested in this team twice since they took over, and both times Gibbons was manager. Stop undercutting your own team by letting your GM's hire this clown, Rogers.

Can you point out what he's doing that's "wrong" then? Just saying that he's the problem isn't enough. Give all the reasons that he's so "bad" at his job.

Googled it! Lol two college pitching coaches of interest Greg Moore, San Fran USF and Scott Forbes, North Carolina , Tar Heels . Both had impressive write ups! make em 1 and 1a one can run the starters and one can run the pen. Or make one Buffaloes coach or a roving instructor.

Hitting coaches 1 and 1a of interest not sure we need one on the big club but maybe we do, these two stood out and may be good for Buffalo and or as roving instructors. Cliff Godwin, Mississippi and Dan Heefner, Dallas Baptist

Head coaches from the college ranks who may be of interest Todd Butler, Arkansas, Rex Peter, UCLA, Erick Bakich, mich ?

Darrin Erstad, Nebraska ( ex player) then one that was interesting was a father son duo coaching team or one bigs one Buffalo of Tom and Josh Holliday NC State and Oaklahoma State also Matt is son and brother!

Does anybody who follows college baseball think these guys ? Can they help us improve? Better then what we have?

The number 1 guy I can think of for pitching coach who is available is Charles Nagy. D-Backs turned it around in 2011 and 2012 and really weren't that bad in 2013 when he was fired. Greg Pavlick is the guy I never understood why he never kept a major league job after his run with the Mets in the 80's and 90's. I read a BP article a few years ago where they tried to measure the effects of a pitching coach and he was in the top 5 in almost every category.

Reyes batting under .100 for a couple weeks and never being moved from the leadoff spot.

EE hitting f*** all for a month out of the cleanup spot.

Completely blowing games to try and get his starters through 5 innings.

Leaving pen arms in the game and watching them implode.

These aren't things that good managers do. He's probably cost this team 3-4 wins already.

are you saying good managers can see the future and take their best players out of their natural positions..lol. Hindsight is 20/20, but that doesn't mean you have a clue what you are talking about. EE should have been in the 9th spot for the first month. Should he be in the 9th spot for May too?

I had a quote in March (forgot what thread it was otherwise I would have reposted it) where I said people will turn on Gibbons when he makes Navarro full time DH and abuses relievers. He's done exactly that so far. On top of that, he's used his worst relievers too many in spots that required his best ones. He's been awful and even his supporters have said as much. He's not good. Never was. People think Farrell was so bad that anyone could do better, but even Farrell isn't this bad.

Can you shut up? We get it, you're not very bright and desperately need a scapegoat for an underwhelming team. Mind just moving on?

No. Managers are paid for there ability to asses the present for future outcomes. Thats what managing is.

Managers are paid to assess the past for future outcomes. There was nothing in EEs past to indicate he shouldn't be hitting clean up.

The only cavaet is an injury situation... EE had bad back in spring training... if he IS not healthy enough to hit clean up then he should be on the disabled list and Justin Smoak should be at first.

I'm not sure who to blame if EE is not healthy. Probably equal between AA, Training Staff and Gibby.

LOL. Is that your way of saying "I'm tired of glory always being right"? If so, I'm flattered.

Otherwise, ignore me, moron.

I think AA should be fired, idk about gobby tho.he has good games and bad games. Who in the f*** would even be his successor?

I want to be his successor

All board members will be my assistant GMs.

No manager can win after the GM fails to provide adequate pitching and then on top of that StroShow is lost for the season.

There are better managers out there, but it wouldnt make a difference.

Send all rookies down because if you struggle for 6 starts it proves you will suck forever
