Who would take over now that the season has already started? It's not likely that someone from outside the org would come in, and I doubt there is anyone within the org that could do a better job. I know that Hale was interviewed for the job a few years ago, but he got passed over for that clown Farrell, so that's not a great endorsement of his ability to manage.

If it costs less than that there is no reason that it hasn't been done

Castro for Pap but not Hoffman for Bryant

Hoffman will be the Ace of the staff maybe even next season...Bryant can play RF for us...I guess that could work since our RF has crapped the bed to start the year

This team is playing Kevin Pillar every day. There's room for Kris Bryant.

We have offense though, if you have to trade Hoffman do it for a pitcher like Cueto

Bryant is a much, much more valuable asset than Cueto. He might be the most valuable asset in baseball.

Cueto is a free agent at the end of the year (+ no comp pick attached if traded)

You would trade Hoffman for Cueto but not Bryant?

You have to look at the team. Hoffman won't get Bryant anyways so it's a mute point. What is holding us back is not offense it's pitching, why trade what might be our best drafted pitcher in 15 yrs

Hoffman hasn't pitched an inning in pro ball yet. You should probably slow down before anointing him ace of the staff 2016.. Best drafted pitcher in years (Hutch, Stroman, Norris, + more).

Value is value. Where it comes on the diamond is irrelevant. Bryant would have immense utility to the Blue Jays now and in the future.

Can't make the playoffs having to win games 15-12

Still don't think he should be traded until we see how he pans out.

A run scored is worth the same as a run saved, it is not? And were did you get the numbers 15 and 12?

Too many hypotheticals to keep track, plus some people were referencing the other thread.

The premise is I wouldn't trade Hoffman for Bryant because i think Hoffman will help this team more than Bryant, especially if he comes close to his ceiling.

So you wouldn't trade him at all. Not for Harper or Trout or Cutch or Stanton.

Would you trade Hoffman for Mike Trout? Remember that we already have a centrefielder.

good effort kid
