So we have our first legit second baseman since Aaron Hill and you want to trade him and stick Reyes there? How about benching Reyes in the 7th inning of every game we're leading for Goins instead? It's really not Reyes' throws that's the big problem, it's his limited range and no confident glove that's killing him out there. If Gibbons played things right with Smoak at first his throws in the dirt would get scooped more anyway.

I love Travis, of course I don't want him gone. But I also don't want Reyes, but he ain't going anywhere. So, okay, you're suggesting we keep the status quo. How's that f***ing working? Or what are you suggesting?

You're suggesting we remove Travis in favour of Goins and Reyes when Travis has more than double the WAR of Goins & Reyes combined...

You can't trade Travis and roll with Reyes & Goins and expect better results from your mid-infield. Gibbons needs to man up and protect our leads by swapping our defensive liability on the infield with our defensive wizard. Goins has yet to replace Reyes defensively late in a game we're winning which is my suggestion, there is nothing status quo about that it just requires a bigger set of balls by the manager.

I haven't driven in to Toronto in a couple of months but I'm taking my family to the game on Saturday from Barrie. Any suggestions on which route to take and how early I should be leaving with regards to the traffic f***ery happening with Pan Am? I have to be there between 11am-1pm to get my tickets.

Take public transit, not worth the aggravation of driving in.

That's a good call. I've never taken the Go Train there but it's now running on Saturdays and looks like it departs 9:48 and arrives at Union 11:18. Sounds like a good option but expensive.

It's teleportation or nothing for me.

Get what we can out of Reyes this year....keep Travis no matter what and trade Reyes in the offseason for a bag of balls

I would also recommend the Go train. When you factor in gas consumption and parking money, its not far off from the Go cost.

Parking is going to be $30 minimum; that's the Go tickets right there. Coming from Barrie it's going to take 2-3hrs to get downtown w/ the games going on. Add in gas and time and it's definitely worth it. Generally, I come in from the other side of the Lake Simcoe and park at Finch then take the subway down. Super cheap and you miss most of the craziness.

Depends on how many people are in his family though. If you have 5 kids that kinda changes things.

Just 4 of us. My wife, myself and (soon to be) 6yr old & 2.5yr old. Youngest might be a pain in the ass on the train but that's life.

True, I was thinking two people for whatever reason.

There's a group pass that's valid for two adults and up to three children, so you should definitely look into that.

Oh wow thanks, I just looked that up and yea it's like $51, practically the cost of 2 adults.

Drive all the way down to Fairview Mall/Yorkdale Mall/Downsview Park Station, park then take the subway downtown. Save on traffic time and parking costs.

Yea I've done Finch countless times and a couple years ago did the Yorkdale line with my wife and older son to a Jays game. It worked out well with timing and whatnot but he's on the Autism Spectrum and that experience was pretty nerve-racking for him. I think it would be a lot less stressful on the Go Train this time being smoother and less chaotic.

Yorkdale are being bitches and don't allow people to park there anymore. However, they have no definite way of knowing whether you're a Blue Jays fan going to a game or just a shopper at the mall. My sister and her fiancee parked there last month and took the subway. She said they had someone at the door who would tell people decked out in Blue Jays gear that they may be subject to a fine if they were just using the parking lot but she had no problem getting away with it. That was for an afternoon game though, so if you went to a weekday game and didn't get back to your vehicle until around midnight or so, the mall people might more easily be able to tell who was just using the subway.

Would he like all the noises and lights of the train or would it work him up? From just working around some kids on the autism spectrum they all have very different reactions to things like that.

I don't get why anyone would do this. The daily parking rate at Downsview station is like $2 to $4, and it's free on weekends.

It's a lot shorter from Yorkdale than Downsview to Union, isn't it?

Idk how much Yorkdale costs but I can't imagine it's worth it

Well I know virtually nothing about GTA geography but it looks like Yorkdale is slightly quicker and easier if you're coming east on the 401. Previously, when Yorkdale allowed parking it made sense to go there. Probably just smarter to go to Downsview now though.

No he'd be fine with it, noises sometimes bother him but he covers his ears if it's too much. He's more or less very cautious about his surroundings, scared of getting hurt, not a fan of tight crowds. We might end up driving down anyway, not sure if my 2yr old is up for walking the 15-20min skywalk I'll likely end up having to carry him back.

Alright well if you're driving down, you'll want to get there pretty early if you want to park really close to the stadium. And it'll be between 30-40$

I dont know why anyone would want to park at yorkdale in the first place anyways, the place is a zoo with s***** drivers and pedestrians who don't look where they're going.

You might get lucky anyway driving. I take the subway to work downtown and I've noticed there are a lot less people around than usual.

It is July and a lot of people will be away on vacation.

Also where I work, we use couriers to deliver work out of the city. They were kind of expecting traffic to be terrible this week, but it's been fine and one driver

said Monday he's never seen the Gardiner with such lite traffic. I'll ask him about it again today if I remember.

Of course the weekend could be a different story.

I honestly don't pay attention to traffic news so it could be worse than I think right now.

No, it's like two subway stops. Six minutes less.

This is a pretty funny story lol. There are other places to park, as NJH says.

Go check the length of Downsview - Wilson. not six minutes, lol

Yep, just talked to a courier and he said traffic this week has been better than it usually is.

Still take it with a grain of salt, but I bet it won't be too bad.
