DuckDuckGose Verified Member Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 The Cubs would've been the nicest fit (they have pitching and need offense) but they have no room for Edwin. Maybe we can have a threesome? They have Rizzo.... Not a fit at all.
DuckDuckGose Verified Member Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 Yes I think so. Orioles might be a good candidate as well as the Mariners Royals among others Mariners are definitely a fit. Orioles aren't going to trade high end players in division.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 I think Bautista is the premier player here. Definitely a few contenders might be willing to pay his price
reedjohnsonfan Verified Member Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 I'll take just Puig at this point. Bautista is regressing towards his age and next year it will be noticeable Are you willing to deal Sanchez for Samardzija yet?
DuckDuckGose Verified Member Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 I think Bautista is the premier player here. Definitely a few contenders might be willing to pay his price In the off-season maybe, no way they can move Jose this season.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 I think Bautista is the premier player here. Definitely a few contenders might be willing to pay his price He has 10-5 too though
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 Are you willing to deal Sanchez for Samardzija yet? No...I'd trade Hutch in a second for Shark
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 He has 10-5 too though I bet he would jump.at the chance to.play for a contender considering in his 6 years here he has not played a meaningful game
TilsonBritoFan Verified Member Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 It would be hilarious if the Jays went for Shields in the same way it was hilarious we went for Reyes. We didn't sign Reyes when he was a FA because we didn't want to give that many years/$$$. The Marlins give him a back loaded contract and we pick him up a year later after the Marlins got him for the first cheap year. WTF? We could have had him for an extra year on the cheap and given up nothing if we just signed him? Same thing would be with Shields. Not willing to give him the years/$$$ he wanted but we're now interested a year later when it will cost us prospects? Shields is $10 million this year, then he jumps to $21 million a year for next 3 years. Why didn't we just sign him???? Again, we could have at least had him for the cheap year! Even if it cost us a few more million to get him to come here over San Diego, those million are probably worth us saving the prospects it would cost. If this is the case and we are actually inquiring about Shields, just f*** off AA.

And Shields wasn't choosing Toronto over San Diego.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 lol Don't know what this is, but that would have AA fired tonight
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 No...I'd trade Hutch in a second for Shark WTF would you do that? because you're a tard?
BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 Uh, nope. I think we're overestimating how good our offense is. Look at Valencia/Colabello/Smoak. They are NOT as good as they were in the first half. Not to mention Pillar and his +.400 BABIP in June. Even Donaldson has massively cooled off in June, as did Martin. Bautista is slumping. Reyes has been s*** for awhile. The offense will not be as good in the 2nd half as it was in the 1st half. The only guy I expect any consistency from is Travis. Not as good as they where in the first half, wtf! We are just barely into the second half really really early to make that call !
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 This team would be in shambles worse than Port-au-Prince after the 2010 earthquake if some of you were the GM.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 WTF would you do that? because you're a tard? No, it's because I have recognized that Sanchez is a better asset and gives this team a better chance to win. Hutch in my opinion will not get much better than we see now. He relies too much on an inconsistent fastball with inconsistent command and through the 3 ish years he has been in the majors has not made any progress in developing a 3rd pitch. Between the two Sanchez has more upside now and in the future in my opionion, so I would trade Hutch for Shark

Sparky12 Verified Member Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 No...I'd trade Hutch in a second for Shark You value Sanchez higher than hutch?.....
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 Don't know what this is, but that would have AA fired tonight Are you serious? That trade would be a steal for the Jays, obviously it's not true.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 You realise Shark is a rental right? Yes I realize....someone asked me if I am ready to trade Sanchez for Shark
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 You value Sanchez higher than hutch?..... Yes I do
GD Old-Timey Member Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 Are you serious? That trade would be a steal for the Jays, obviously it's not true. Bro mang did you see "Mike Trout" anywhere in there? No? K then stfu about dealing Hoffman
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 Are you serious? That trade would be a steal for the Jays, obviously it's not true. Not really. Shark is a rental and Alford is a serious wildcard.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 Why trade for 2 months of any pitcher when the Jays have as many losses as a bad WS team? Makes sense.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 Are you serious? That trade would be a steal for the Jays, obviously it's not true. Seriously though no that would not be a steal for the Jays
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 Seriously though no that would not be a steal for the Jays Okay maybe not a steal but it's a pretty good deal for a win-now team.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 Okay maybe not a steal but it's a pretty good deal for a win-now team. It might be a franchise crippling deal lol If Shark is like a 2 win upgrade RoS and Robertson is negative surplus value you're dealing a s*** ton for not so much Just call up Norris if that's the price
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
