The ego on some of these guys. Do you want to win or not? Or do you only care about making money?
TheHurl Site Manager Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 This is so cute <3 Not as cute as what Casali did to his former Vandy teammate Price (and Anibal the night before).
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Lol. The ego on some of these guys. Do you want to win or not? Or do you only care about making money? He should be pissed off. He's been f***ing unstoppable this year, and the ******** arbitration system is designed to pay him more money for how many saves he gets. He didn't choose for it to be like that, but it is, and he has every right to be upset. Adding Papelbon doesn't significantly alter their chances of winning this year, but it might have significantly altered how much money Storen will make next year, and he has every right to be pissed about it.

CHRIS Verified Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Storen should be pretty embarrassed about this. Didn't Papelbon also say pre-trade that he wouldn't set up for anybody else, and didn't want to share the 9th inning? Jeez, these guys are acting like children.
BTS Community Moderator Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Didn't Papelbon also say pre-trade that he wouldn't set up for anybody else, and didn't want to share the 9th inning? Jeez, these guys are acting like children. At least Papelbon had leverage. He earned the right to veto a trade for whatever reason he wanted. MLB needs to revamp the arb process though. Relievers complaining about roles is silly.
Frag Verified Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 I wonder who the 3 minor league pitchers the Dodgers are sending back. The Dodgers also get the Marlins' compensatory pick.
CHRIS Verified Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 At least Papelbon had leverage. He earned the right to veto a trade for whatever reason he wanted. I guess. Still seems pretty moronic to complain about what you're willing to do and not do while you're in the process of leaving a terrible organization for another that has the chance to win. The sooner all of the shine is off "saves", the better this game will be.
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Is it really that silly though? Especially when you've done a better job so far to this point and then get demoted because of vetrin presents, potentially losing millions in earnings. I'd be a little choked too.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 I want that in and around my mouth. That looks SO disgusting... and I'll eat just about any kind of garbage food.
Pulk_Pull Verified Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 While it may not be 'silly', it definitely shows your cards to the team and organization with regards to what you really care about...
BTS Community Moderator Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 That looks SO disgusting... and I'll eat just about any kind of garbage food. I bet it tastes amazing.
Frag Verified Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 I bet it tastes amazing. America's poutine?
BTS Community Moderator Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 How many people is that thing designed to feed anyway? My first thought was that it's a family meal, but cutting through the cheese and fried onions to separate it wouldn't be feasible. Would one person really eat two feet of that in one sitting?
glory Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Chris Archer is having a pretty good day after 6 innings so far. Perfect game with 10 K's and 69 pitches through six. Since the Rays are somehow ahead of the Jays now, I feel it was only appropriate I throw the jinx out there.

Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Those onions look like worms. Barf.
