jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 Corey Hart is horrid, M's have zero offense And that is the reason I widely expected the Mariners to slide. And I doubt most hitters want to go to Seattle. No relief in sight either for the M's, with Cleveland, O's again for 3, then Atlanta and a White Sox team that is just confusing.. the White Sox should sell, but they're only 5 back..
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 Jays are back in the 2nd wildcard as of the end of today. 3 games back of Baltimore for a least lead. When's the last time meaningful August games were being played, let alone September?

Every game matters much, and with our injuries, and eeking out wins,we are showing something! Seattle will slide because of their divisional games alone, not even mentioning their lack of offense.

burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 Well Seattle also will get to play the 2 worst teams Texas and Houston so it balances out a little bit.
Chappy Community Moderator Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 Good times for sure. I'm up north just checking in, but seems like the jays are in good shape after their last game. That's 3 series in a row now.

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 You mean 4 home games against the Mariners? Semi-joke A TON of Canadian fans from BC go to Jays @ M's games
43211234 Verified Member Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 So who we got today? Not sure exactly what you mean but the Yankees have to face Darvish, the Rays face Lohse and the Brewers and the Orioles and M's are off.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 Hopefully Darvish can shut down the Yankees tonight. Only chance of that awful Rangers team winning.

DH12 Verified Member Posted July 29, 2014 Posted July 29, 2014 Tampa Bay is the team to watch, best pitching in the american Leaugue
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2014 Posted July 29, 2014 Tampa Bay is the team to watch, best pitching in the american Leaugue Forget it. David Price will be sold off to the highest bidder unless the Blue Jays fade before the week's end, as the Rays are 4.5 back and are basically needing a miracle. Otherwise, Price will be pitching elsewhere, such as the Dodgers, Cardinals, etc. and Zobrist will be with the Giants (who are keeping an eye on him BTW.)
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2014 Posted July 29, 2014 Neftali Feliz shuts down the Yankees, Jays are 2 up(Yankees) and 2.5 back(O's)
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2014 Posted July 29, 2014 Angels and O's tied at 3 in the 2nd Interesting game so far 1-0 Angels 2-1 Orioles 3-2 Angels 3-3 Tie only the 2nd
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Now 6-5 O's after Hamilton hit a HR.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Yankees losing 3-1 at least McCarthy must be crashing back to earth.. back to being the mediocre pitcher the D-Backs wanted to move due to his 5.01 ERA and high hit and HR rates. And when is someone other than Brett Gardner and Derek Jeter going to hit?
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 MIL-TB tied at 1. Probably won't stop David Price from getting traded.. http://www.cbssports.com/mlb/writer/jon-heyman/24642133/courage-test-rays-source-says-talking-and-willing-to-trade-price With him due $20M next year via arbitration and the Rays limited finances, he may get traded regardless of where the team is in the race.
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2014 Author Posted July 30, 2014 JJ Hardy just made one of the stupidest mistakes I've ever seen to allow the Angels to tie the game at 6. Two outs, runners at the corners, routine ground ball. Hardy gets the ball and spends an inordinate amount of time looking at second before realizing the second basemen is expecting him to just throw it to first. By then it's too late!
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 6-6 game now in Baltimore. Matusz really stinks this season..
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 1-0 Angels 2-1 Orioles 3-2 Angels 3-3 Tie 4-3 Angels 6-5 Orioles 6-6 Tie
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Well, LA has done a good job working the O's pen.. already on their 4th pitcher of the night.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 White Sox, even though they're not contending, are gutting the Tigers pen, as Soria imploded.. 9-2 White Sox.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Rays now lead 2-1 over the Brew Crew.
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Rays only 1 game below .500, wow! texas blows their lead -.-
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Rays only 1 game below .500, wow! texas blows their lead -.- Texas pitching is awful outside of Darvish. Rays about to win.. but won't gain ground unless Baltimore loses.
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Good Jays win. We'll at least gain ground on the Indians and, hopefully, the Royals. This all matters, small though it may seem.
