We may see an influx of new members over the new few weeks, please treat them with respect, no matter how much you may disagree with their opinon or topic of choice.

If we get off to a good start, you can expect it even more.

We want this site to grow, and it has the potential to be a lot bigger than it is right now. I think a lot of new members get turned off, or afraid to post, and end up leaving, and it shouldn't be like that.

There are going to be new baseball fans. There are going to be people new to message boards. We'll have young teens, and we'll have older fans. We'll have fans that have never heard of WAR or other saber stats before. We get in the gang mentality where one guy might jump on someone for something, and everyone else jumps in. Then Spanky gets involed.

 

Please just try to show people some respect, I'd love to see this place doubl in size by the end of this season.

 

Just a small suggestion. Maybe can we leave the stupid newbie threads open for a bit longer?? Referring to the Bonifacio thread.

 

By all means if some idiot is starting multiple stupid threads close them. If it is just one stupid thread then maybe leave it open and let it sort it self out??

 

I think people enjoy spirited discussion on occasion. If someone wants to start a thread on "Arencibia for DH", "on base percentage is overrated", or "Bonfiacio will lead the league in WAR" then why not?? If they satart all three of these threads at once then sure they are trolling. Otherwise I'd let it go.

 

btw. I didn't read the entire thread. Just saw that some guy claimed Bonifacio would be top 5 in WAR or something. Ridiculous so ofcourse I wanted to chime in.

 

Anyway a "Bonififacio lead league in WAR" kind of discussion is great for newbies. They can get a feel for WAR and bashing idiots in a non-pressure situation. Like a warm up for a Trout vs. Cabrerra MVP discussion.

Heard Rob Ford was out partying last night as well. Was seen at City Hall at 1AM and then took a cab to Muzik around 2 AM haha.

In the process of switching the server over now.

And as I told ECJF, I'm going to try and make it to Toronto next year for the meetup. Probably can't make it this year, but we'll see.

It's a university thing. They do it at a bunch of school's across the country this weekend. There is also one called "12 Barz" for Christmas. The Kingston one was on Friday. Always a good time.

Yeah that was happening in Halifax on Friday too. A bunch of people I know went but I turned it down to watch the home opener lol. Oh well.

One was from me, I just don't want the donor thing in my name and would have donated more if you hadn't branded me as an Asian.
