Surprised not a lot of love for kiss my purple ass George Bell, I have him on my list because he was part of the reason to forge my love for the game, to me the first real big name on the jays and I remember the 87 MVP season as some of my first memories of the Jays

 

I have a hard time just picking 4 players, so many I want to add to the list

Steib, Hallady, Fernandez, Delgado in terms of bbref WAR. Everybody would agree that Alomar needs to be mentioned. And if you mention Alomar you almost have to mention Clemens. He had almost as much WAR as Alomar in only 2 years. 11.8 WAR in 1997!!!!

 

Joe Carter is not the top 50 of blue jays career WAR according to BBREF. Yunel Escobar and Zaun among many others are ahead of him.

As I'm sure you recognize, it's not just about who put up the best stats. Part of it is who feels like a BLUE JAY when you look back. Roger Clemens does not feel like a Blue Jay.

It's probably just easier to leave the pitchers off altogether... Fernandez, Alomar, Delgado and either Bell or Carter.

I went with a combination of longevity and excellence to narrow it down, so difficult. Stieb and Alomar deserve it too, maybe Joe Carter. Can't go wrong with a combination of those seven.

You can't leave out Stieb. Second in fWAR in Jays history (behind Doc) and first by RA9-WAR. 61.4 RA9-WAR. Fernandez, the top batter only had 35.1 WAR in comparison.

 

I'm also not seeing any love for Barfield ITT!! He put up 29.6 WAR in just 3869 PA compared to Delgado's 34.4 WAR in 6018 PA.

 

I'm comfortable in saying that Bautista will be the best Jays position player ever when he's all said and done though. Already at 23.4 WAR in just 2730 PA. (Could've said the same about Wells at the time of his extension though).
