GD Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2013 Author Posted June 14, 2013 Broken rib for Tulo Holy f*** NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Tuloooooo I think a broken rib Tulo would be more valuable than Ricky
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 Wow long games for A's Yankees (18 innings and A's win yeah!!!) And going to the 13th Boston vs Baltimore
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 Orioles have *7* players hitting .275 or better WTF???
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 I remember a few years ago the Angels had eight or so regulars batting over .300. Orioles have one of the best two or three offenses in the AL. If Gausman and Bundy work out, they could be running a dynasty. I don't think my brain could accept that... I might have an aneurysm.

The Orioles are a team that's basically built to mock the Blue Jays woeful recent history. Manny Machado is the stud that Brett Lawrie was supposed to be right now. Chris Davis is the late blooming cleanup hitter that Travis Snider was supposed to be. Adam Jones is basically a younger, more handsome, and better version of Vernon Wells. Nate McLouth is the stopgap LF that's actually working out, and not playing like s***. etc. etc. etc.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2013 Author Posted June 14, 2013 If the O's become I dynasty then I'm done with baseball because I just don't think I could handle that.
over500 Verified Member Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 Adam Jones looks like Jamie Foxx AKA Mothaf***a Jones
GD Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2013 Author Posted June 14, 2013 Jones is a top player while D'Arnaud is a 24-year-old who has yet to make his debut. Agree with everything but this, I'd think that 24 is alright for a catcher.
BlueJayWay Verified Member Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 It is hard to accept, considering how quickly it has happened. Less than a year and a half ago everyone was laughing at them for getting banned from Korea, and they were working on 14 consecutive losing seasons. Now, I definitely like their future a lot more than ours. Young controllable talent at premium positions. Yeah. And like you said, the amazing thing is how quickly that turned around. They were putrid for a decade and a half, seemed to be going completely nowhere, had the Korea thing, and even Tony Lacava turned down the GM offer. They really were the laughingstock of the AL, along with the Royals I guess.
Laika Community Moderator Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 Bold statement. I hate Adam Jones' face. Well, Vernon Wells looks like a toucan / a black cro magnon man

backontop Verified Member Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 Is JJ starting starting or is he back for relief. Good question from JaysFaith since that seems to be the only word Blue Jays management knows how to spell.(RELIEF) Since we got him as a starter, much to their dismay (they'd like him for the second inning man) he will start. If they got Sandy Koufax in his prime, they'd want to turn him into a reliever. They think NEGATIVE, HOW NOT TO LOSE! Ismail Rogers was the 8th man in the bullpen, soon to be shipped to the minors, so they thought, we don't care about his arm, lets start him! He was smart, He's pitched several good games and to this point has become a bonafide starter. Hopefully he'll take Dickeys place later in the year when they pretend (like Lawrie now) that poor Dickey is injured.
BlueJayWay Verified Member Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 The Oakland A's are 108-60 (.643) in their last 168 games. http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/the-hidden-juggernaut-in-oakland/ Wouldn't it be neat to have Billy Beane as our GM?
GD Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2013 Author Posted June 14, 2013 Is JJ starting starting or is he back for relief. Are you just constantly drunk?

digiblader Verified Member Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 Pedro Ciriaco traded to the Padres for a PTBNL. Good depth move for a team that needs help due to the injury to Jedd Gyorko. BTW, the Padres are closing in on contention.. they're only 5 back of the D-Backs, and with the injuries to Tulo(Rockies) and Scutaro/Sandoval(Giants), the door is open for them to make a move in the NL West. Keep an eye on the D-Backs/Padres series.. Padres could be within distance of 1st with a series sweep.

There is absolutely no way the Padres will win the division. D-backs and Giants are solid.

BlueJayWay Verified Member Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 Against everybody but Toronto, the Yankees are 29-28 with a -9 run differential.
digiblader Verified Member Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 You are right. D-Backs should be 35-31..and SF is not a solid team--they're below .500 on the pytho. FYI, here are the run differentials in the NL West D-Backs +21 Giants -10 Rockies +36 Padres -22 Dodgers -45 However, this will likely change with the Tulo injury..without him, the Rockies are a mediocre team. Dodgers are underwater due to poor run support, and the Giants problems are due to injuries/regression to the majority of their rotation..Lincecum, Zito and Vogelsong have been horrible. And BTW, this is how bad the NL East is: Braves +62 Nats -27 Phillies -42 Mets -50 Marlins -96 Unless the Nats improve, this division is Atlanta's to lose.
DuckDuckGose Verified Member Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 Against everybody but Toronto, the Yankees are 29-28 with a -9 run differential. Wells, Overbay and Nix finally came back down to Earth.
digiblader Verified Member Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 And Toronto doesn't play the Yanks again until August..who knows what the Yankees will be like by then.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 Against everybody but Toronto, the Yankees are 29-28 with a -9 run differential. That's sickening
digiblader Verified Member Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 Starting pitching is the only thing keeping the Yanks afloat. The offense has been awful--Wells is now worse than his Angels numbers, Overbay is no longer a regular now that Tex is back and stinking--Youk's been absolutely awful since his return, and Cano is hitting an awful .214 vs. LHP--which is not good for a guy who is expected to get 10/$250M in the offseason.
DuckDuckGose Verified Member Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 Had to check the Jays' Pythagorean Expected Wins, right now they're on pace to win 72 games. Brutal.

Can't wait till we play them again. With Reyes.
