  1. I can't wait until they say he is fired. His name only rings big because he is DOUG Drabeks son, and he is who we got for Roy Halladay, quit letting the jays owners and sportscasters who work for Rogers fool you into that we have another Doug Drabek almost ready to join the Blue Jays.
  2. Oh I forgot, look who is pitching for Minnesota. We have pitchers down in AA ball much better then the rebuilding Twins have. I hope he has a good series v s. Minnesota. They have lost 6 in a row and with our help can make it 8 in a row, Sat. and Sunday, but what is so unsual about this, these guys have already lost 10 in a row back in May. I don't remember a season where a team was so bad that they lost 10 in a row twice in one season.
  3. I told you all Baustista is only good for a short period of time, he is over-rated, he goes into month long slumps which hurt the team so badly, but when we have thrown in the white towel to surrender, then he puts on his hitting shoes.
  4. If after the next 8 games we are still one game over .500 or 3 below .500 surely, four months of baseball is enough to draw a conclusion don't you think? Its a mystery to me why the Detroit Tigers are dragging their feet. They have awesome pitching and hitting and yet it is as if they are goofing off until push comes to shove.
  5. No need to read what this clown said, its a no good, lowdown, doggone dirty rotton shame that this idiot is still on the air. I had a thought concerning this today and wondered, is ROGERS ability to choosing sportscasters to work on Sportsnet, the same as their ability to choosing MLB players for the Blue Jays? If so, Torontos only hope is that some day they will sell the team.
  6. Chappy, you sound like that guy that you look so much like. Is Beeston really smart and deceiving us like idiots, or are Beeston and company really idiots, hence we stank year after year?
  7. Very interesting title Mr. theblujay, how can any fan ignore this thread, after playing the Red Sox and the Tigers the past 8 games playing the Twins seemed easier than if we played the Bisons. So we have 8 games before the all important all-star break, two more with Minnesota which should get us back to .500, but then we play Cleveland three games, then Baltimore three games and don't think Baltimore has forgot about losing 3 straight to Toronto. So with 8 games to go before the big break, will we be 5 above .500 or 5 below? The latter could be a blessing in disguise. Needless to say, these next 8 games are crucial, and are lastl chance! after tomorrow night, I will go off the limb and say two straight (with RA pitching), then win the third game against this team that we are so obviously superior to and we will be back to .500, (beginning to sound like a broken record), but then 6 huge games as far as the Jays future is concerned, three vs. Cleveland, then three vs. Baltimore.
  8. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Utley one of the best second basemen in the NL? If so, we NEED this guy for at least 2014. I don't think that is very Utley especially getting Cano Robinson from are rivals in NY is highly unlikely. Reyes and Utley, and Rasmus up the middle, that is great, but to fill out the all important area we need to get a new catcher.
  9. I didn't see the play, but Rasmus only did what any normal player would do if he was trying to disrupt a possible DP. I have noticed Rasmus is good at this, if poor Infante had to leave the game, he is just another baseball crybaby. You see if this was the NL and there was bad blood between the two teams, Mr. Verlander would be the guy to go on sick leave next, especially if he threw at any Jays hitters. Get rid of the stupid DH.
  10. Winning the brawl isn't gonna get us closer to being the best team in the MLB. So WHO CARES!!!!!!
  11. Between Backontop vs. Goui-Douigi? Who do you mean? A much better question would be who will get the best punch, I'd have to go with Verlander because the guy makes his living with a fast arm, please don't hurt poor Colby, he is just a lowlife baseball player. Fielder is too fat to win a contest of this nature, Baustista is the dark horse here because he is dark and surprisingly tough and smart, BTW, may the good Lord take a liking to you all and learn you that hurting people is not a way of winning.
  12. Because the fan spends 90% of the time talking about hockey which I find as boring as soccor I rarely listen to it. But I did hear a new guy (to me) defending Brett Lawrie and his asinine actions with Linds fly ball,(Eric Smith) I thought, "Oh my God, I thought Wilner was the worst sportscaster I ever listened to.", but this guy is even worse then Wilner. I concluded, all you have to do to get a job as a sportscaster at The Fan 5.90 is graduate from broadcasting school, show them your diploma, then you are hired. Remember that you 18 year olds, and if you should happen to be good, you will have very little compitition there. Good Luck!
  13. I agree with Dinger, we have been paying this guy tons of money for years just to get better from his sick leave. He owes us big time! Give him Wangs place, if he can't handle it, its time to designate him for assignment which means, "you are fired"
  14. Dineke, are you saying Roger Clemons was better then Dave Stieb? I DON'T THINK SO!
  15. I would love to make McGowan our fifth starter, but if you were around during the middle of the last decade, remember how everytime we got excited about this guy, he always dissappointed us with one bloody injury after another. I won't be teased twice. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me.
