    Probably because of the manner they are losing. Lots of winnable games this series and they got swept. Add in Vladdy looking like a groundout machine and proving zero offence so far you’re going to get people souring on him and rightfully so. You want to demand 500M, at least back it up with your play on the field.

    That Jays 2015 team was stealing signs all year lol. Leiper would relay signs down to hitters from 1st base. Tons of teams did it, just they didn’t do it with video like the Astros did.

    If the Jays were actually thinking of giving him that $ better pull out now.. the entire league will be laughing at them for signing a yandy Diaz clone to over 400M

    Yeah as bad as everything was that game if Springer makes that catch they very likely win the game. Sucks they wasted a gem from Bassit. I actually liked the at bats from most of the lineup. Kirk should probably move down in the order until he gets going. The team looks better than I thought coming into the season. Still a ton of games left so no need to wave the white flag after an ugly loss.

    Yeah it really is fun looking through the box scores each night. Wheeler and Cease had 2 great starts as well. Edit: And Ohtani walk off homer to keep dodgers undefeated

    Always had a soft spot for the Padres since they were the first MLB game I ever went to. Big fan of Tatis and Merrill so hope they do well even though Dodgers are going to run away with that division. Going to try to make it to the Dome when they come done in May.

    Good thing the game is played in a Dome, terrible thunder snow storm happening right now with huge wind gusts. I'd be surprised if even 15K make it to the game.

    It seems like Bo definitely wasn't, but who knows. Vladdy got offered 160M after 2021 which wasn't a very strong offer when you then see what Tatis, Julio and Witt got. The key with a lot of these deals is its a lot better to overpay by 10-20% on comparables for these young players. Jays don't really have any young players at the moment you'd want to sign long term given a lot of these guys will be controlled to their early 30s and aren't really stars.

    They really need to do something with the IFA bonuses/agreements. Having guys sign handshake deals at 12/13 years old has gotten way out of hand.

    Wasn’t even talking about extending either but just more about player performance in general. Bo had one bad year meanwhile Vladdy had a great year and it felt like Bo was being overlooked coming into the year as most important players.

    Vladdy and Bo as well. Coming into the year all you heard was Vladdy this and Vladdy and that meanwhile you didn't hear anything about Bo. And fast forward to now and there is a very good chance Bo could out produce Vladdy this year.

    Its also the Mets home opener so you probably don't want to have Lucas shaking in his boots with a rowdy crowd on Friday. I actually don't mind them being proactive, you need to keep the pen rested as we saw what happened last year when guys got overworked. My biggest gripe is having Lucas make the start as he looks awful and doesn't inspire any confidence.

    Could be they know there is a chance they have to empty the pen on the non Gauseman start so better to do that Wednesday with the off day Thursday than decimate the pen Friday right before a big long stretch of games.

    You could have bought tickets for like $5 on StubHub tonight before the game lol. I saw lots of people just go into get a bobblehead then turn right around and leave lol.

    Great win. Lineup was great and felt like they could had 8 runs, pitching was really solid. On to the next!

    You'll be more than fine 20 min before lol. Just go to gate 15 no one ever goes there and you can get in through any gate, not just the recommended one your ticket says. I doubt the attendance is more than 17K and they are giving 15K bobbleheads away. Also I'm probably in the minority on this one but I like 147A more. Low row down the line was great but since they expanded the netting all the way down I feel it does distort the view especially when you are close. I enjoy sitting outfield quite a bit, more easy to get in/out of the seats to the concourse although it shouldn't be busy tonight so you'll likely be fine.

    I noticed that the first couple of games as well. Good to see him at least trying to hit for power early in the count. His exit velo is up at least so far this year which is nice to see.

    I hated Rogers cheapening out in years past but I can't blame them for this year. Their is more than enough money allocated to have a playoff team, its just a matter of the FO spending it efficiently.

    I mean not like there is much land in Manhattan you can just build a stadium on lol. 40 Min subway isn't really all that bad. To drive from Sherway into Toronto it could take you that long in traffic with all the gardiner/lakeshore construction and its like 12km lol. Drives me nuts when concessions are so expensive at sports venues. I can understand beer to a degree but charging $10 for a bottle of water should be criminal.

    If Yankees are going to swing it like this they are going to be tough to beat. I wish Judge didn't play for the Yankees because he's actually quite likeable as a player. I feel he's almost underrated even though he plays in New York which is actually insane lol.

    That's pretty much what I thought it was. Today was 21K which for a weekend seems really weak, probably only been a handful of games the last 3 years with it under 20K. Could be dress like a seat day at the dome the next 3 days lol.

    Yeah usually not great but getting 27K for the first Saturday is pretty bad. Last few years it was mid 30s I'd say.

    Attendance is going to be realllly weak the next 3 days. Be surprised if there is over 20K people in the building. Weather being atrocious doesn't help either.
