  1. This will go down is the worst contract in professional sports lol. Guy is f***ing useless in week 1 of the deal.
  2. one run game cuz of the fatty who is the dumbest player in the game.
  3. 500M for a dumbass who doesn't know the fundamentals of baseball.
  4. I don't think Bo has many any sizeable improvements where the offence will be close to that for the full season though. He always has stretches where he rakes and I think this is just that. He's making a little more contact in the zone but still chasing at the same rate his whole career. Hitting the ball with the same exit velo as well. He likely finishes the season as around 120-130wWRC+ like he did from 2020-2023.
  5. Shawn Green and Todd Helton I would have never suspected. I agree though I think there's lots of guys who are taking stuff right now, they just don't get caught lol. I've always though Lebron has been taking s***. Theres just no way you can remain that athletic at close to like 40 years old and at that size. ESPN wrote an article about his trainer in Miami getting busted or something and it was a pretty interesting read. Surprised it didn't go viral quite honestly.
  6. Was Aaron Boone ever suspected of PEDs? Some wild names on there I didn't suspect.
  7. Bo likely moves off SS by the time Nimmala even gets to the majors. And as good as the power has been from Nimmala there has been tons of swing and miss. Reality is he ends up a bust more than he ends up an above average player. Orelvis Martinez should be a cautionary tale in that he hit for tons of power all throughout the minors while being super young for the position. He can still turn it around and succeed in the majors but he's looking like a bust given all the swing and miss in his game.
  8. I'm not sure 3rd would be a good fit at all. He struggles with his throws on his backhand when he has to set his feet and throw off the back foot. And 3rd has a lot of those plays you have to make.
  9. I think he's improved a ton as well but the range is still below average and obviously will only get worse from here on out. I don't doubt he is going to be a 120wRC+ hitter for the next 3-4 years but giving him 10/300 is pretty scary imo. Even the offence could decline a ton with his unique swing once the athleticism declines considering the approach/chase rate. Its easy to fall in love with players while they are performing well and the Jays are off to a hot start but you don't want to be stuck with 2 albatross contracts in 5 years time. As good as Springer has been this year would you want to have him signed for another 5 years at 30M per? Cuz that's what you could have with Bo/Vladdy.
  10. 2011 was one of my favourite Blue Jays seasons just because Bautista was that good. Literally felt as close to Barry Bonds in that you made one bad pitch to him all day and it would be a homer. When he was locked in he just wouldn't swing at bad pitches, was just incredible to watch.
  11. Yeah it was awful and I was screaming at the TV. I'm honestly surprised Schneider didn't get tossed cuz if I was sitting anywhere close to the field I likely would have been giving the s*** I was saying lol.
  12. If you are signing Bo its all about projecting his performance and I just can't see him being an average defender at SS for any years of the deal and with his limited range I'm not really sure he would get a jump from playing 2nd either. He seems to have cured his throwing errors which he had early in his career but he's got some of the worst range at the SS position which only will get worse. He's already at -2 DRS on the year and this is while not looking bad by the "eye test". The bat is very good but when he's 31 where do you play him? He might have to move off the infield entirely by like year 4 of the deal.
  13. Really hope Vladdy can get on track. After starting the season smashing the ball (with bad launch angles), he's getting jammed a lot and rolling over on a ton of pitches. Last 7 days average exit velo is a whopping 86.6 MPH. The guy clearly has hall of fame talent but he's got to understand how pitchers are attacking him and if he can make those adjustments that's what will make him look more like the 21/24 Vladdy. Jose Bautista had great bat speed/tools but I would say the reason why he was such a great hitter was because he was so smart and knew what pitchers were going to do. If he got a mistake pitch he rarely missed it.
  14. There was so many calls there were just so bad. The Bo strike call on the full count. The at bat Schneider was up 3-0 and he called 2 strikes that were so clearly balls was just ridiculous though, like not even close. He ended up walking anyways but like cmon..
  15. Rough series for Wagner. Probably not getting much playing time at 3rd after that performance. Sucks, that was such a winable game. Ump was ass too.
  16. Thank god the red sox blew the DP but man Vladdy has to have a better AB there. You got paid now time to show you are worth even a sliver of the contract you got.
  17. Santander has had like 3 or 4 fouls that were no doubt homer distances. I guess that's a positive.
  18. Ernie has had a ton of weak contact this year. Lots of chases and throwing the bat at the ball out of the zone, yuck.
  19. There was an interview with Russ Martin years ago, basically he goes through a 30-45 Min warm up to get ready for games and he said he would do it before PHing. Last thing you want is guys to be hurt you can just just go into the game cold trying to hit 95MPH lol.
  20. Surprised the Jays weren't going this sooner. NHL teams have been doing it for years. CRA will come after Vladdy and argue they deserve tax on the signing bonus though. But good chance they won't get it.
  21. Yeah still tons of season left. Reality is its April 10th and there going to be lots of up and down from here till September.
  22. Yeah but you are better off having that, then not having anything at all lol. I'd rather have that core then say the Pirates with Skenes and not much on the position side of it. Not like the Astros and Mariners are known to be big spenders either so they can probably get away with it in that division to at least be competitive.
  23. See this is what I don't get. If you are giving him a day off give him an actual day off. You really don't save the player by having him pinch hit later in the game as the player still has to warm up/hit balls in the cage/do all everything that's required before starting in the game. Schneider did it with Springer last night too. You really aren't saving a player much having him play 6 less innings.
  24. The As have a pretty interesting team. Especially if Kurtz comes up and rakes. Wilson Rooker Kurtz Soderstrom Butler Thats a pretty solid young/cheap core.
  25. I think you still give him some time to try to see if he can start. Lucas probably reverts back to being bad so you need a starter especially with Bloss stinking it up in AAA. If it comes to mid May though and Scherzer still isn't recovering and he can pitch 30-40 pitches effectively then yeah I'm all for moving him to the pen and having him pitch 2 innings every 3 days or whatever. Better than the alternative of him not pitching at all I guess.
