  1. We'd still need another difference maker, preferably in RF.
  2. Why the hell is he batting cleanup.
  3. Big balls of steel.
  4. Sorry, what were you saying? Looks like Varsho is up.... LOL
  5. Lots of hard hit balls that have found gloves.
  6. Springer is just a black hole of offense this year.
  7. I might have missed your take, but are you convinced Springer is completely cooked or do you think he should still get a bit of leash?
  8. Goddman, this guy stormed up from A to AA to AA in the span of 26 games. Great eye and approach with a .461 obp and and 37:35 K/BB. 6 homers in 116 AB shows he might be continuing to grow into his power at age 25. The kid has some nice wheels as well. Not sure how his D is at 3B/RF.
  9. That would actually free up a ton of cash. These guys are like the undershirts and boxers you get in bulk from costco. You're never going to wear them out, but you need them underneath your nice stuff and you feel pretty good about yourself for scoring a deal.
  10. Now all we need is a RFer that can hit and we may actually start stringing some runs together.
  11. Hahahaha, I love how they have to say "natural" before beef and pork AND it still has an asterisk!
  12. The steroid era was a joy to behold. I still remember McGwire and Sosa chasing Maris in 98 and Bonds in 2001.
  13. Yup, I suspect he’d bring back a tidy little haul.
  14. Not when it's combined with tanning apparently.
  15. Translation: "Our starters have to pitch like we're m#$@king Cy Young to get a win with this lineup."
  16. Yup. At some point they'll have to limit the damage that Springer is inflicting on the offense. Maybe he'll finally get hot in the second half, but man... I wouldn't bet on it.
  17. To be honest, I always thought Botox was for chicks too. I’m getting a real education on this forum.
  18. Imagine if the offense was performing?! We’d be harder to beat then the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant softball team.
  19. Garcia is a stud.
  20. Agree with all your points. The frustration with Biggio wasn’t that he was a versatile backup infielder, it was that everyone was dreaming on something more after his first couple years (I’m guilty as charged). You might be right with Schneider, but there’s still the chance he could be a legit starting 2B - he deserves the ABs and opportunities to prove it out, especially at league minimum salary and especially given our lack of young controllable talent at the moment.
  21. I ranted enough right after the IKF and KK signings, but the Y-Rod signing could still be sneaky good in the coming years.
