  1. I dunno, Giminez battled injuries last year. He was good at the start when he was healthy, and he was good at the end when he got healthy again. I think he gets the full time SS duties to start and keeps them unless he falls on his face with the bat again. I would not be shocked if he put up a 3 fWAR season, all he needs is a 90-95 wRC+ bat to do it. This all reminds of the Varsho discussions of years past. He was playing LF because of KK and struggling to have a league average bat. As soon as he got the full time CF gig and put up a 99 wRC+ he had a 3.1 fWAR season. Now under Popkins he's 120 wRC+ and trending for closer to 5 fWAR over a full season.
  2. I can see Oka filling the #2 spot in the batting order, ala Lukes last season.
  3. I think they are in the same market as the Jays for Bo and Tucker .If the Jays sign both, they can't. I guess they could pivot to Bregman, although I don't see the fit.
  4. No. As per fangraphs Jays sit at $308 million ELTP Dodgers currently at $339 million
  5. This signing moves the Jays past the stinking Yankees into 2nd place in overall fWAR projections with 46.7 fWAR. Dodgers still in 1st with 51,1 fWAR
  6. lol c'mon man get real Yesavage and Barger combined project the same fWAR value as Marte and Barger is 6 years younger, while Yesavage is 8 years younger. Plus they are both pre-arb
  7. As of right now fangraphs has the Jays 3rd overall in projected fWAR. I really hope they land one of Bo/Tucker/Bregman, but if they don't they're still a very good team on paper.
  8. All this waiting around and it will probably go like this: Bregman back to the Red Sox Tucker back to the Cubs Bellinger back to the Yankees Bo back to the Jays
  9. Hurry up and sign already ya bunch of boneheads.
  10. Imai going to the Jays, Dodgers or Yankees didn't make much sense when you look at their starting pitching depth. At the start of the off season the Jays made sense, but then they quickly locked down Bieber, Cease and Ponce.
  11. Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Shane Bieber experienced forearm fatigue towards the end of the 2025 MLB season, a factor which may have influenced his decision to exercise his player option for 2026. The team is managing his recovery carefully, with general manager Ross Atkins indicating that an Opening Day return for the 2026 season is a "very realistic outcome". Berrios may yet be useful. Nice guy to have around as long as the money doesn't prevent adding to other areas.
  12. Yep, that's exactly what I was driving at. The 6th starter on the depth chart will get a lot of starts for one reason or another.
  13. Right now he looks like the 6th starter. I doubt he sees much time coming out of the pen unless they bring in yet another starter and slot him down to 7th on the depth chart, which seems highly unlikely.
  14. 1B Vlad 2B Bo 3B Bregman SS Giminez Clement rotating through all 4 IF spots. Damn, that'd be pretty sweet.
  15. Hopefully next years luxury tax bill is a whopper. Just need a couple more dudes to sign on the dotted line.
  16. And even Semien was legit good enough defensively to be a short stop. Altuve's contract history is crazy. Some huge seasons but he didn't sign his big 5/125 extension until he was 34/35. The Astros got huge value out of him all those years.
  17. LOL damnnnnn C'mon Tucker.....Bo....give us something to talk about today.
  18. Seems like Berrios and Bieber both may have questionable health going into the season maybe? Might be a good idea to have a guy like Scherzer on stand by. A "break glass in case of emergency" type of guy.
  19. Thats why they toss in FTJ We're here to help
  20. Since the Padres want to cut payroll, maybe we could get them to toss FTJ into that deal as well.
