    When I looked at the Jays depth chart early in the off season, I did not have Wes Parsons on my bingo card as a potential starter/long man at the MLB level. I saw him as one of the first options for DFAing to clear a spot on the 40 man. 31 year old journeyman and the Jays are squeezing blood from stone here. Impressive. Combine that with Francis being resurrected from looking near finished two years ago to actually being a solid reliever to now winning a rotation spot, to Robbie Ray going from the scrap heap to Cy Young winner, to Stripling going from mid reliever to solid starter for the Jays, they made something out of Matz as well who they pulled from the scrap pile.....the Kikuchi turn around, Jays seem to be able to get the most out of mid pitchers.

    Joey Votto has a dead cat bounce, puts up 135 wRC+ in 400+ PA's and puts up close to 3 fWAR

    With Cooke, Danner and Juenger, the Jays look like they may have 3 pretty solid home grown high leverage relievers in the fold. Cooke and Juenger aren't on the 40 man yet but I suspect by seasons end they probably will be and all 3 of these guys will probably pitch some MLB innings, maybe sooner rather than later with some arms already hurting. Hopefully this is just the beginning of the pipeline opening up, it'll be nice not having to dish out too much money on relievers going forward because they keep developing them in house.

    Gotta be either Little or Zulu I would imagine. Or maybe even Pop. Can't see them DFAing Danner.

    I'd like to see Danner in MLB over Pop with Romano and Swanson on the IL. He had a decent spring and misses mote bats than Pop. And hopefully this is Pearson's coming out party as a legit high leverage reliever

    Henry is a 4th string catcher, he's going to have holes in his game somewhere lmao Way to much thought going into this If Kirk or Jansen end up being out long term they can find someone elsewhere via trade or waivers if Henry isn't picking up the slack. They snagged Serven off waivers a couple months ago

    Serven is not somebody you worry about replacing. Ever. Payton Henry can replace him easily enough if somebody claimed him.

    Good thing the Jays have lots of pitching depth. Going to test it right away with the #1 starter, closer and 8th inning setup guy possibly not being ready for opening day.

    Why in the f*** are we comparing Votto to Stanton exactly? Because they are both old? There is no comparison between the two. Votto is on a minor league deal for christ sakes. The Jays get ANYTHING from him it's just a bonus. The Yankees are paying Stanton $32 million this year and for three more years after this. He's a goddamn boat anchor. You're comparing apples to oranges acting like the Jays need or expect anything at all from Votto. They don't.

    Wow, I can't believe Eric Pardinho might actually be something. Hitting 100mph and a regular 96mph with solid secondary's? Excellent Nice to see White missing so many bats. There might be something to this pitching lab. Jays seem to have pitching coming out there ass now. SP and RP Might have to cut Zulu just to get a catcher on the 40 man FFS

    Man, that's awesome that Yariel might be something. Nice to have depth. Need Mitch White to come out strong and RT to work out the kinks in AAA. Between those two and Francis, and maybe even Parsons the Jays would have really deep starting pitching IMO

    German would be a solid #5 starter on just about every team, including the Jays IMO. Either he didn't want to be a Jay, or Rogers/Shatkins didn't want him to be a Jay. Whether it's based on his character or they feel they've internally got the SP depth they need we'll probably never know. There was rumors they kicked tires on him though if I remember correctly.

    lmao "Oh noes!! The Jays have two ALBATROSS contracts on their books that will sewer the organization for YEARS to CoMe!!!" I can think of a lot worse things than $7.5 million for IKF this year and next and $13 million for Turner for this year only.
