  1. I don't mind that deal for San Fran with Hicks He's basically making Kikuchi money if he makes it as a starter, and if he doesn't then he's basically making Chad green money as a reliever. I would have been happy with that deal if the Jays had given it to him. At 27 four years isn't a big deal
  2. I know that, that's why I added 7 WAR instead of just the 4 WAR Laika was talking about
  3. Well, if the Jays want to pour the cock to her they can pony up and add: Bellinger 2.6 proj Chappy 2.7 proj Hader 1.7 proj +7 proj WAR but it would cost them like what....$300-400 million or so combined? Plus a lot of pain a few years down the road probably.
  4. Why is there two General Jays Discussions threads going?
  5. What if Vladdy gets 6 WAR and Kirk gets 4? How many WAR does Varsho need then for the Jays to get 90 wins? lol
  6. Just browsing the site on my phone for the first time in a few days and NO ADS!! Awesome job admin! Thanks
  7. Oh yeah for sure, there's that one dude that keeps saying to fire Varsho into the sun. Yeah, fire a 2+ fWAR OF into the sun when he's making just a couple million and has upside to be a 3+ fWAR OF. Great f***ing idea buddy lol
  8. Holy f*** what a pile of horse s*** that article is. Do they not realize that one of the negatives of signing KK was NOT being able to start Varsho fulltime in CF now? Guy is talking like it saved us from Varsho who was as valuable as KK was last season and projects to be better this season, especially if he was in CF full time.
  9. Did they say who the Jays might be potentially signing soonish?
  10. Teo probably didn't want to risk getting any ice buckets dumped on him
  11. Good stuff. Obviously the FO is aware of that and maybe even has a good idea why and whether it's a sustainable fix. Their patience this off season tells me they are somewhat confident in some offensive bounce backs occurring, and hopefully Vladdy/Kirk are two that do bounce back.
  12. Teo to the Dodgers for one year $23 million
  13. I worry about Kirk because he sucked in the second half of 2022 with the bat, and then all of 2023 he was bad too. So that's a season half straight of poor offense. Hopefully he can adjust because his bat was great all the way up the minors and when he first got to MLB
  14. What a frustrating FA crop. Every piece you can even think about signing comes with question marks. Soler from last year? Yes plz Soler from 21-22? f*** no Sure would be nice to have Ohtani slotted in at DH lol
  15. I saw 30,000+ visitors yesterday, just thought it was bots or something
  16. Mariners going to sign Snell maybe? Hometown boy wants to play at home?
  17. And are the Yankees really that scary? After Soto and Judge their offense isn't daunting, and they gave up some starting pitching to get Soto in the first place. If Rodon is injured again their rotation is hot ass after Cole. Plus, the Red Sox haven't done f*** all this off season to improve have they? Rays lost Glasnow and Franco..., I mean I'm sure they'll be good for 90 wins somehow, but probably not as good as last season.
  18. Yeah and if I told you this time last year that Schneider was going to come up mid season and put up 2.0 fWAR in 141 PA's you'd have probably told me I was a goddamn lunatic. Might be a huge pile of crap, might find something decent, or might just get a flash in the pan strong enough to tide the team over for a season which is probably better than doing something desperate like giving Chapman $150 million.
  19. I'd love for the Jays to trade for significant upgrades at 2B, 3B or OF, but there is some merit to wait and see what happens with the rather sizable group depth players/prospects they've accumulated, especially now that they have KK and IKF in the fold. Biggio, Espinal, Schneider, Clement, Barger, Orelvis, Lantigua, Lopez, Palmegiani, Horwitz, Morris and Jiminez. That's quite an extensive list to draw from. They may all end up being crap, but worth look, and if any of them pop IKF/KK won't be blocking them but will still serve as solid bench players and late inning defensive replacements. I would still love to see a big powerful DH bat signed though.
  20. Whether he's an idiot of a predator doesn't matter much, he's still (allegedly) a guy who has sex with children. If you're going to have sex with another human being you need to do your due diligence to find out whether or not they are the appropriate age.
  21. Yep, it's a good team, yes they failed last year but it's a good team. Maybe it's better they run it back again as opposed to making desperate moves that may hurt way more in the long run. The run suppression should still be there with this team, maybe the offense will be there this time too.
  22. If you make the playoffs you're a contender.
  23. Every year all teams but one aren't good enough, you aren't really going out on any limbs with your prediction of doom. But whatever floats your boat I guess.
  24. Brownie just dropping truth bomb after truth bomb on the chicken Littles haha
  25. Yeah, they'd have eat some of it for sure.
