  1. lmao the guy is like 4'8 and 300lbs. How fast do you expect him to trot?
  2. Pretty excited about Cooke I mean, about as excited as you can get for a reliever prospect I guess, but he has elite high leverage written all over him.
  3. Awesome. f*** you Boras What did Chaman supposedly turn down from the Jays last year? 5x150 or something? 5x100? Gonna get way less than that I'm thinking.
  4. 1st game of spring training is sloppy? Noooooooo waaaaaaay I don't believe it
  5. I'm really looking forward to all the pissing and moaning about IKF all season long on here.
  6. Ah, another Jays MiLB signing that is causing certain folks to go off the deep end. Nothing has really changed in weeks and weeks. This season hinges on pitching staying healthy and key offensive contributors returning back closer to career norms.
  7. Welcome to the 2023/34 MLB off season. After Ohtani all a team can do is dumpster dive. Either that or give out complete albatross contracts to overrated players who will more than likely be a drag on the team financially when there are actual difference makers available.
  8. Why not? Dude swings a big stick and is nothing more than a depth signing if it's not just a MiLB deal.
  9. 19 lbs of muscle on Tiedemann? Over what time period? That's way too much weight to put on naturally since the end of the season
  10. I think signing Eduardo Escobar to a MiLB deal is definitely a great reason to act like a whiny little bitch. But, when you ARE a whiny little bitch pretty much everything is a good reason to act like a whiny little bitch. You have to stay true to you.
  11. I can picture Atkins in the lab, piecing together a 3B monstrosity using Barger's arm, IKF's glove, Orelvis' power, Escobar's experience, Parmesiani's youth.... 5-6 fWAR combined for sure from 3B in 2024
  12. Just because the Jays won't break the bank for players like Chapman and Bellinger doesn't mean they have a limited budget.
  13. Love this time of year! Spring is coming, baseball season is just around the corner, good times. So many intriguing arms to watch with the Jays through spring training. Manoah with less fat, will he bounce back? Mitch White trying to build off his really strong AAA finish last year. Tiedemann, one of the most intriguing SP prospects in all of baseball. Just signed Yariel, what's he gonna bring to the table? Can't wait to see how it all shakes out.
  14. That's a new lower low level of complaining about IKF that I never thought we'd sink to lol
  15. What about White? Is he a mouth piece too? Either way, it's a stupid f***ing thing to hope for these players to fail if you're a Jays fan. Personally I hope Manoah, White, Tiedemann, Rodriguez and every other jays pitcher are f***ing lights out this season.
  16. I wonder what kind of offers Bellinger is even getting at this point. Jays have about $6 million left before they hit the next luxury threshold, and $26 million to the one after that. Something like 5/$150 would be very palatable right now for Bellinger. Pretty unlikely? Impossible?
  17. And the Jays still have Pop So this is what winning feels like EDIT: Does anyone remember who the PTBNL was in that deal? IIRC it was Bass, Pop, PTBNL for Groshans
  18. There is upside to having a defender who can defend, especially when you are going to rely on defense and pitching to win enough games to make the post season unless some of the big bats come back to life in 2024
  19. IKF doesn't "blow" He's an elite infield defender, especially at 3B and the Jays can use his glove there after letting Chapman walk instead of giving him a bloated anchor contract. The Yankees are the dummies that decided to toss IKF into the OF last year which tanked his value. Of course, all the simpletons will whine about him all f***ing year because he isn't hitting, while completely ignoring what he brings to the table
  20. That's why these prospect rankings are hard to take seriously. A few years ago the Jays system was ranked top 5 across the board because they had like 7 guys in the top 100. Kirk is the only one of those guys who has amounted to sweet f*** all and even he seems to be slipping because he's unable to control his gluttony. Groshans, SWR, Martin, Pearson, Kirk, Moreno, Orelivis.....I believe those were the guys in the top 100 in 2021?
  21. Is it an overreaction to say multiple times that the Jays should fire a 2+ fWAR player into the sun?
  22. I get not being happy with the off season, and wanting better options than IKF and Turner brought in, but please tell me what the "better options" were exactly. You can't fault the Jays for not being able to conjure up better options out of thin air, and you certainly can't blame for not wanting to fork out massive contracts to players like Bellinger and Chapman who are clearly not worth what Boras is asking. After missing Ohtani (who they were clearly never going to land, it was always going to be the Dodgers) I think the Jays have done about as good as you could hope for in an off season where the options were extremely limited. They still have a competitive team with a f***ton of depth, and they aren't saddled with even a single long term albatross contract going forward. The whining is extremely tiresome, to be honest. Hopefully the Jays have a good year or this place will be hard to visit because the "I told you so" brigade will be out in full force.
  23. Maybe we get both Turner and Soler
