  1. After year two makes the most sense, give him a chance to pitch again before deciding if he wants to FA again.
  2. I wonder if the Jays/Ohtani would keep a signing under wraps for a few days and allow the Jays to work on a few other things while teams like the Dodgers, Giants etc were stuck in limbo, which are also teams rumored to be in on Yamamoto.
  3. If they sign Ohtani, Yamamoto and Lee I'll be pitching a f***ing tent in my pants all winter.
  4. You said EXACTLY that lol
  5. Top ten at 3B? "Pukeworthy" according to the drama queen lol
  6. Yeah, I got that. So three fatties don't take full advantage of it and the jays might as well scrap the whole thing then right? Because "what's the point of having it" right?
  7. So none of the Jays players are using it or taking full advantage of it then? Is that your stance?
  8. Is this legit? What kind of contract is he looking at getting? What's the precedent for KBO stars coming to MLB and having success? Is this guy the answer to the Jays hole in LF?
  9. Hahaha "Pukeworthy" What a drama queen. My god
  10. So it's the Jays high performance departments fault that the tubby crew can't stop pouring sugar and carbs and calories down their gullets? That's on the players, not the Jays.
  11. Damn. What team is going to give him that contract?
  12. Look at that, a reasoned and even keeled view point. But don't worry, an Atkins whining strawman builder will be along shortly to tell us all how we think Atkins is "perfect" and hasn't made any mistakes and that how the only reason we think the jays haven't won a playoff game under his tenure is because we think it's ALL been bad luck and nothing else. lol
  13. Again, no one here is arguing that it's ALL bad luck. Atkins whiners just keep building strawmen though.
  14. That's the point dude Atlanta won the WS when they snuck in with 88 wins. Then they lost 3-1 in the first round with 101 wns and 3-1 in the first round with 104 wins Playoffs are a crap shoot. All management can do is build a team that can get to the playoffs consistently, and then hope they catch lightning in a bottle at least one of those years.
  15. Absolutely agree. We want Ohtani pitching at a high level in 2025 and beyond if he's a Jay. No need to increase the risk by sticking him in the field, much less 1B when we have a multitude of guys to play that position.
  16. Fair. Especially with Anderson. Rosario doesn't project too much lower than Chapman though but for a lot less money and term
  17. lol I look forward to a time when I don't have to see off season pictures of the obese trio "getting in shape" anymore. Hopefully all traded in the next couple seasons so we don't have to watch them balloon up in their late 20's and early 30's because they can't control their eating habits and now have fat juicy contracts and financial security locked in.
  18. I wonder if the Jays could get guys like Rosario or Anderson to come to TO and play 3B on a 1 year deal to try and rebuild value? Just point at Semien and say "worked for Marcus" Although he played 2B for us, but still.
  19. It's still a pretty good roster. Top 5 pitching staff (on paper) is a great place to start. The holes at 3B and LF are amplified though without Ohtani's bat at DH
  20. Jays24 and the hyperbole In every single post, it's hilarious
