  1. Man, Mike Trout cannot be worth much in a trade. He's gotta be worth way more to the Angels than they'd ever get in a return unless they ate a f***ton of that contract. Hard to believe he's already 32 years old. $35.5 million AAV and he's averaged 3.7 fWAR the last three seasons...well basically three "half seasons" because he is always injured now.
  2. You realize the 40 man roster includes the MLB roster right? The MLB roster that won 89 games last season? Not many "minor league teams" win 89 games in the major leagues you f***ing nitwit. f***ing amazing that people without even two brain cells to rub together can muster the ability to log on here.
  3. Yelich, Burnes, Adames (4.1 trade value) for Manoah (11.8 trade value)
  4. Then move Bo, or put Adames at 3B?
  5. He has negative value. Even if they ate some of his contract you could probably get him for a couple low level lottery tickets or 40 FV schlubs from the 40 man, is my guess. But the Jays could use a 4 WAR LFer though, so I wouldn't be opposed to getting him.
  6. I love the make believe narrative you like to spout about how the GM of a team that's averaged 90 wins per season the last 3 years and made the playoffs 3/4 years in the toughest division in MLB is somehow "fighting for his job" lol Here comes the "0 playoff wins" retort, I'm ready.
  7. Springer had a steadier track record than Bellinger up to free agency, but counter point Bellinger is 3 years younger than George was and also has an MVP under his belt. 24.5 fWAR for Springer up to free agency, in 7 season. 21.6 fWAR for Bellinger up to free agency, in 7 seasons.
  8. What if Bellinger sucks? Would it still be a good off season? I'm sure you'd be one of the first to be looking to hang Atkins for signing him to a $200 million contract if he ends up as a 2-3 WAR player going forward.
  9. WTF? They've been in on every big name out there so far. You can lead a horse to water, you can't make the f***er drink.
  10. Yeah, the general fan base would flip out for sure lol
  11. Gimme: Brantley 1 x 10 Martinez 1 x 12 Urshela 1 x 8 Montas 1 x 8 Hicks 3 x 9
  12. Looking at Profar on fangraphs, he's really got this good year/bad year thing going on, and last year was a bad year. Might be a decent training camp invite on MiLB deal? -2.0 fWAR last year, probably not getting an MLB deal?
  13. Haha, I'm the same. I keep telling myself what he was last year is what we need, and what he'll be going forward. I also tell myself that his down years were more a reflection of his shoulder injury and COVID than him being a phony. Jays seem to be after him, hopefully they know what the EFF they're doing.
  14. Zips has the Jays projected for what..86 wins right now? Probably still going to add a LF, 3B and DH. Chapman, Bellinger and Martinez would add about 7 wins to the projections
  15. No kidding, and how much would you really get for him anyways? The only way I'd trade Romano right now is if I was able to sign Hader first.
  16. I agree. It annoys me to no end that they are going to play a perfectly fine 3B in LF because they already have short stops playing at SS, 3B and 2B. And then they go and sign Candelario to play 1B lol
  17. Under. Definitely under. So far he's averaged 96 IP per season over 5 MLB seasons, and those were his prime aged 25-30 years. No way he averages higher than that from ages 30-40, especially since the first season will be 0 IP.
  18. lol Bellinger and Chapman are the top two position player FA's left on the board and will cost more that $350 million probably. Plus adding a DH. You'll be lucky to get that, never mind more.
  19. Enjoy LA or New York Sasaki
  20. DH - JD Martinez / Hoskins / Belt (sign 1 of these) 1B - Vlad 2B - Biggio / Schneider 3B - Chapman SS - Bo LF - Bellinger CF - Varsho LF - Springer C - Kirk / Jansen Espinal, Lukes also on the bench
  21. I've given up on the hope of Yamamoto. With the Yanks and Mets going all out for him I have no faith in the Jays sneaking in there. Best option on paper I guess would be to go all in on Belly and Chappy but I can see that turning into a disaster. However, with the pitching staff we have it might work out alright. Especially if we get any bounce back from Vladdy, Kirk and Springer. Just riddle the diamond with 2-4 fWAR players and have a top 5 pitching staff.
  22. How worried are we about the D if we lose KK and Chappy, and how much will that drag the pitching down? Hard to say I guess, but it's definitely a concern in my eyes.
  23. Assuming the Jays can't snag Yamamoto, are we content going into the season with: 1. Gausman 2. Berrios 3. Bassitt 4. Kikuchi 5. Manoah 6. Tiedemann 7. White As the starting pitching depth? I mean, the top 4 were all good to great last year, and have a track record of durability. #5 is one season removed from Cy Young contention #6 is one of the top 2 or 3 starting pitching prospects in all of MiLB #7 appeared to figure his s*** out late last season in AAA and was demolishing batters It's not bad depth really.
  24. Josh Donaldson is 38 years old and had 0 fWAR last season. wRC+ of 78. He's cooked. I don't understand this obsession with him at all. Just be glad he hit his steep decline as soon as he became a Yankee.
