  1. Hmmm. FG projections: Varsho - 3.1 fWAR ($5.5m Arb) Springer - 2.8 fWAR ($25m AAV) Soler - 2.0 fWAR ($16m AAV) Kiermaier - 1.1 fWAR ($10m AAV) Oh yeah, and... Bellinger - 2.4 fWAR ($24m AAV) And we want to fire Varsho into the sun? Why?
  2. Yelich and Adames combined for 7+ fWAR last season and are projected or 5+ fWAR this season. I wouldn't complain depending on the cost to acquire, which would most likely be next nothing.

  4. The Sportset comment section is that way -------->
  5. You can bet he pretty much would be free, and the Brewers would still have to pay some of that contract mitigating most of the risk involved. Maybe you can get Adames at the same time, plugging the hole at 3B as well. I'm not huge on Yelich but it might be a better way to go than paying $200+ million for Bellinger.
  6. Might be better off trading for Yelich or something like that than overpaying for Bellinger.
  7. Hopefully the Jays have drawn a line in the sand with Boras and Bellinger. A half decently palatable number. Here is what we'll pay and here is when we need an answer by, then we have to move on to other options.
  8. Last year was the Jays peak year to win it all in this window I think. And they had plenty go right to, as a huge chunk of the depth players really pulled through and the pitching was incredible and healthy. But Vlad s*** the bed and only put up 1 fWAR Manoah really s*** the bed with his negative fWAR season where he ended up in the minors. Springer, Kirk and Varsho completely forgot how to hit. All that cost the jays like what? 8-10 fWAR? It's actually amazing they even made the wild card round to be honest. If that group of players doesn't bounce back this season it'll be another frustrating slog where they maybe sneak into the wild card again.
  9. Exactly. I said the same thing a couple pages back. The biggest improvement this team can make now is to have all the underperforming players from last season not suck ass again.
  10. The biggest thing the Jays can do to improve is have their porky trio of core players actually get in shape, stay in shape and produce how they are capable of. Vlad, Kirk and Manoah can add 10 wins to this team over what they provided last year. Springer and Varsho can be better too, although Springers age might be an issue now. But Varsho in CF with a league average bat can add a couple more wins too.
  11. They might as well sign Snell too now I mean why the f*** not right? Hell, grab Bauer while were at it. 1 year $20 million to see if he's still got it. Then they can have the next Japanese superstar who's getting posted next year. Let's see if we can get the Dodgers 130+ wins in a season
  12. How exciting for baseball I'm f***ing pumped
  13. I put soup on ignore. Couldn't take it anymore. I tried for a while. Would be nice if everyone did the same haha
  14. I keep forgetting about Lantugua. 260 innings at 3B and 311 innings at LF last season in AAA.
  15. Add Manoah (assuming the Brewers like him and think he'll bounce back) and then have the brewers eat some of the Yelich deal, and I don't think it's too crazy. Probably will never happen but the value's fair in my opinion.
  16. That's good and all, but what can he do to fix his peanut brain low baseball IQ?
  17. Doesn't he have a no trade clause? If so he'd have to agree to it which wouldn't be bush.
  18. I'm at the point where if they sign Bellinger and Chapman to the big deals, so be it. Might hurt down the road, but the team should be pretty good for next season, especially if Vladdy/Kirk/Springer have any sort of bounce back.
  19. You don't have to vomit every single thought you have onto this forum lol The Jays aren't going to sign that many guys and then go trade for those players on top of it. That's 7 players you think they can sign? If they sign Chappy and Bellinger they go out and sign a DH and maybe a depth starter/reliever and that's it. No need for Whit, IKF, Votto, Winker, Adames and Parades if they just signed Chappy and Belly north of $300 million total.
  20. It's not good for baseball though. They really should just have teams in NY or LA or Chicago. That way the best players don't have to go to some insufferable locale....like Toronto for instance.
  21. Wasn't it reported earlier that Snell is most likely going to his home town Mariners?
  22. Yep, totally agree. Baseball IQ of a peanut.
  23. I kind of agree. Sign Belly, Chappy and a DH and let's EFFFing go... It ain't my money lol
