  1. So, who's going to leave the game with an injury today?
  2. 8 legit MLB starters signed and 11 games into the season we've already had a bullpen day and now starting 36 year old Patrick Corbin for game 12.
  3. How awesome is it that three of those guys are still currently in our rotation?
  4. Yeah, Schneider said today "I feel like our whole team is sick" Explains a lot so far.
  5. Apparently Lauer has a real bad flu bug. Maybe going around the room and part of the reason for the sluggish stretch here? Hope so anyways
  6. On May 31st last season the Jays were 30-28 with an 11-16 road record.
  7. Well, to be fair it has only been 5 games.
  8. Any chance Betts is cooked? Man I hope so, love the player but hate the team.
  9. Jays offense took a couple months to get rolling last year too, and then they were pretty much the top offense in baseball for the rest of the season.
  10. Not to get ahead a year, but next years rotation will probably look a lot like this years rotation, to be honest. I'm sure the Jays will go big game hunting for Skubal, but if that falls through most of the Jays upcoming FA SP's just love the Jays and probably won't be hard to re-sign. Gausman obviously, Bieber has raved about the Jays org, and Scherzer if he's still good and doesn't retire also loves the Jays. Lauer might be the only one who would run for the hills, due to his arb experience. Either way though, Cease, Yesavage, Ponce and Berrios isn't too bad of a starting point for building a rotation anyways. That's if there is any MLB next season. :(
  11. 5 of 6 starts have been quality starts so far, and the only one that wasn't was because Ponce blew up his leg in the 3rd inning of what was shaping up to be yet another quality start. All that with Bieber, Yesavage and Berrios on the IL.
  12. If this is directed at me, I merely read the last page and that was all it took for my chicken little alarm to go off the charts. I stay out of game threads because too many people can't control their emotions at all, and post the stupidest s*** while the game is happening.
  13. lol some of you crack me up. It's like your whole world is crumbling after every loss. "this line up is full of AAA hitters" "Atkins never prioritizes the bullpen enough" Yeah, he's done a s***** job for sure
  14. Little has an option, you have to think he's real close to being sent to AAA to work out his issues. Hopefully he figures it out, he has the stuff to be an elite reliever.
  15. So our #8 SP just carved out a gem against what is a pretty solid offense. Or is Lauer #7 SP? Either way, Boss Atkins is an amazing GM.
  16. If IF depth becomes a problem it'll be easy to trade for IKF later in the season. Haha
  17. Well to be fair we don't know what peak Ponce is yet, but yeah I hope he lights it up this year. I would have included peak Sherzer too but the guy is north of 40 so we won't ever see him at his peak again, although I hope he has a strong year too. To me though, the 4 I included are the real meat of the rotation and if healthy should make up what will be the post season rotation when/if we get there. That's why I singled them out and didn't include Ponce, Sherzer, Lauer and Berrios.
  18. Let's hope when September rolls around he have peak Gausman, peak Cease, peak Bieber and peak Yesavage all healthy and just mowing teams down.
  19. Any other division and I easily vote 96+ In the AL East, I think 91-95.
  20. I do wonder how serious these injury concerns with the SPs are. Hopefully it's mostly just load management with Berrios, Bieber and even Yesavage who still hasn't pitched in ST yet. They have 8 quality MLB starters who don't belong in AAA, so they have to keep some of them out one way or another, Hopefully that's mostly what this is.
  21. It's spring training numb nuts Some people wanted to DFA Springer after last years abysmal spring training
  22. We should DFA Bob Gratton
